Everything we needed was provided, and the amenities were in excellent condition. United KingdomThe noise. Often people upstairs - the owners were very noisy. Scraping chairs along the floor, shouting and banging. That was difficult to navigate in the mornings and evenings as it often woke up my toddler and myself. There was no curtain or blind on the basement room me or my toddler were in. So anyone sat outside could have been looking in and I’d have had no idea. Lack of privacy completely at night time and made me feel very uncomfortable leaving my toddler in there not knowing who was outside if there was anyone at any point. Same for the living room, no blind on that window. My friend that stayed with us found it a little invasive having cameras on the front door and the hallway rather than just one of those. I understand it may be a security issue but it was a little odd knowing you’re being watched constantly. I think a camera on the door to the basement is more than enough as you have a security flood light there too and no one wants their child recorded by others. Fireplace was great but in a bedroom it means that realistically it isn’t going to heat the rest of the basement. Bit useless when the heating in the upstairs house goes off too. I would advise they log out of apps on their tv and maybe identify which TV it is we would need to connect to by leaving a paper note. Many times I connected to the TVs upstairs as they all had similar names and it was unclear. It might be better off naming it AIRBNB TV or something obvious for when they have guests staying. Garbage instructions were unclear. The owners tried to charge me $170 for a pull out kitchen tap to be screwed on.
It was in a quiet area, near public transport. The property was tidy and ready for us on arrival. There was stuff at the property that we were allowed to use for instance, towels, body wash, conditioner and shampoo, hairdryer, laundry detergents, cereals and flours, spices, tea and coffee etc. That is a huge help for people when they’re only travelling for a holiday and can’t bring big bulky stuff or would have to leave things behind. Very well stocked. The decor was nice and it was clean. There was space to hang belonging in the wardrobes and drawers. Dining table for dinner, adequate cutlery and utensils. The owner was receptive to me needing to put the washing machine on at night due to my son being very ill a few times during our stay. The fireplace was nice and useful for keeping the bedroom warm.

CanadaThe basement stairs were a bit steep for me. When we first arrived the basement was damp. Once we put on the fireplace that went away. With another guest there, there was not room for us to park on the driveway and we ended up getting a ticket from the city. The ticket is our fault but parking is a problem.
The kitchen was very clean and well equipped. I appreciated that the unit had a toaster. The shower was nice. Overall it was good.
