Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. Netherlands- Beds are very soft, I got serious back pains after our 6 nights. - Plumbing needs a makeover. It looks old, grimey and mostly very dirty and stained (which it's not - it's clean - but it doesn't look that way). - Lot's of people around. Police car in front of hotel almost every day. Not sure why, but it got a dodgy vibe to it.
There's an opportunity to do your laundry. Staff is friendly. Tim Horton about 10 meters away. Bteakfast simple, yet enough.

CanadaFor starters, you get what you pay for. However, I didnt appreciate the the fact that people seemed to be living there. Constantly smoking and taking out their ebikes from the second floor. It felt a bit unsafe. The hotel really smelled of smoke, especially the hallways. Cigarettes buts outside including in the outdoor pool, which i cleaned.
Room was spacious and location was central. Cleaning ladies seemed to do a good job Breakfast was fine. Waffle machines were a good touch

CanadaThe room was decently clean, but in a 7 day stay, aside from sweeping the floor and emptying the garbage once, and making the beds once, (because we asked them to) I'm not sure what housekeeping did. We had to ask for things as we ran low (toilet paper, towels, coffee.) Also, there weren't enough outlets. The plugs near the "kitchenette" were taken up by the microwave and fridge. We ended up making coffee in the bathroom. Oh, and the freezer needs to be defrosted.
The beds were comfortable, having laundry facilities available meant I didn't have to take dirty clothes home, and free breakfast is always a bonus. Also the food at the pub was really good!

CanadaThe receptionist at the entrance was not very friendly. She was unable to find the booking and was unwilling to provide the room if I paid privately. I had to wait for other shift staff to come and she looked into their intranet to find the booking missing in their hotel system. I was not able to find anyone to contact booking.com for not able to find the booking.
The room was quite big with 2 double beds. There was an English breakfast, which was also good. The location is in the center of the city.

CanadaYou can tell it's an older building there needs to be a lot of upgrades you can still smell the smoke from before when people used to smoke in their rooms.

CanadaI found it wasn’t super presentable on the inside. Or the outside I suppose! Nothing major just a tiny bit sketchy but it wasn’t terrible. This is going to sound worse than it’s meant to but the bed was so squeaky I couldn’t even roll over without waking myself & my partner up.
I liked how easy to navigate it was. I liked the spaciousness of the room and comfort of the furniture.

Room had no carpet - a real bonus! And it had windows that opened for fresh air - another real bonus. Bed comfortable. Lots of towels. Cold fridge!

CanadaI did NOT like the hours for breakfast as the had it from 6-8 and there was NO time to enjoy breakfast as some of the guest over over sleeper and will get up around 9-10 am before check out. The staff in the breakfast room did NOT provided me a fruit even thou the receptionist did approve to get a fruit for the circumstances.
I like the location of the area, Tim Hortons is located across and shopping center is 5 min away driving distances.

CanadaHallways and stairwells had very bad smells in them, different bad smells in the different stairwells. The facility had a slightly confusing layout with not enough signage to help navigate. My room had some garbage on the floor when I first entered, one of the curtains was a little ripped on one corner, and the shower head didn’t really provide a great water flow. The price was high considering the facilities, but it was a busy weekend in the area with lots of hotels being fully booked, so prices were a little inflated.
The staff were very professional, polite and helpful for both check in and check out. Some of the furniture in my room had clearly just been replaced and updated, which was great. The additional facilities in my suite-style room were also appreciated, with the full-sized fridge/freezer, wet bar and kitchenette. The bed was comfortable.
