The step out of the room needs to be replaced. Very awkward uneven step that needs to be replaced asap. It would be very treacherous in the winter. Part of the facility heritage but not up to code for a public accommodation. The room was a little cluttered with decor.

The breakfast was simple but good. The operator was easy to talk to a provided a guided tour of this unique property.

Wow what can I say, the host was amazing from start to finish. We stayed here for one night in late August 2024. Judy met us at the door and showed us around. As we had travelled a lot during the day I couldn't provide an arrival time but this was not a problem for our wonderful host. She made up beds for the kids and absolutely nothing was a problem. Things got even better as she was retiring to her home, she asked if we were hungry, which we were. So she gave us a freshly baked homemade cannelloni. It was delicious. the 4 of us slept very well. In the morning we came through for breakfast also delicious. She asked us when we wanted to leave and as we were at a wedding later that day she told us to stay as long as we liked and even let us use her pool. Overall if you are ever in Paris, ON this place is a must. Oh, and Judy makes the best butter tarts. Thank you so much.

There were a few little touches which could have been added into an otherwise perfect room: nicer toilet paper (~charmin) always makes me feel appreciated. There were waffles but a little bottle of maple syrup would have made my late night snack special!

The breakfast is excellent. The host is also an accomplished baker and the food was exceptional!
