Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesFree coffee was only available from 5 to 7 AM. Some of us don't get up that early when we are on vacation.
Location, location, location! Close to tons of hiking trails for us. The hotel is at the ski resort for winter and primarily is a trail bike resort in the summertime. The town of Rossland, BC is a quaint small town with some great restaurants too.

I liked every single piece of the hotel from the reception to the in lusive breakfast and the seldom seen Black bear just meandering across the slopes right in front of our bedroom window - Totally Awesome

CanadaThe quality of bed and sheets was not what I would have expected in such a nice hotel. The The bed was poorly made which added to the issue.
Gorgeous modern West coast style hotel with big rooms, excellent bathroom and dining room. Off season rates made it great value. Wonderful views of Red Mountain chairlift and runs.

CanadaNothing except, I booked on Booking.com. The package I chose included breakfast which the property denied me at check in. To make matters worse, the property did not offer to resolve this for me. They made me contact Booking.com myself, which I did. In fact my breakfast was included. Booking.com contacted the property immediately and the issue was resolved. I was happy with the Booking.com service but unhappy with the properties reluctance to resolve it.
New, clean, well appointed rooms. Good food in the restaurant. Right on the ski hill, if you’re a skier….

United StatesThe resturant menu was very limited. Within the room the pillows were large but flattened out very quickly and the temperature in the room couldn’t be controlled so it stayed very hot without circulation
The location to the slopes was unbeatable. The design was great and very cozy. The shower was amazing and the bed was very comfortable.

CanadaCertain things didn’t work that well, almost inexplicably - for example upon checking in they seemingly lost my reservation and it took 20 minutes to find it and complete check-in - at 2am after we had been driving 4 hours and were exhausted. Also, my room did not get made up the first night. It wasn’t just me, another in our party also experienced this. Finally, the sauna was quite substandard - very small barrel sauna and ours on the “right” side was drafty and with a very weak heater. We could not get it hot even after pouring loads of water on the rocks.
The hotel and quality of everything was excellent - everything modern and new.

CanadaThe buffet breakfast was meager. The last 100 meters of the road to the hotel was not paved due to ongoing construction nearby.
It's a brand new, well-designed hotel with spacious and spotlessly clean rooms. The beds are comfy, and the Wi-Fi is fast and stable. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay again. The front desk staff (sorry, didn't catch the guy's name) was very helpful. Highly recommended

United StatesAlthough the food was excellent we thought it was overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the off season, but dinner choices were limited and a bar food menu was not available as it is during the regular season. There is a lot of construction taking place so parking could be difficult if you arrive late and may require some walking. There are huge constructions trucks moving up and down the ski resort so be aware of their routes. It was not obvious where the hotel was located when we first arrived but I had seen the picture of the hotel online so I recognized the building. However, you have to drive through a construction zone to get to the check in lobby. On your way out there is a sign that says "Do Not Enter", however it is the only way out. The other option is a dead end.
The facility was great and so were the staff especially Phillip at the front desk. He was very knowledgeable and had all the answers to our questions. The bedroom was very comfortable and spacious and well appointed with a mini fridge. The Josie was about a 5 minute drive to town (Rossland, BC) which was very convenient when we didn't eat at the hotel. All of the food we ate at the hotel was excellent both at breakfast and dinner. If you ski, you are right at the base of the lifts. If you're a hiker there are trails everywhere, but be aware there are a lot of joint use hike/bike trails and downhill bikes may come at you at the speed of heat so be aware of your surroundings so you don't get hit by a bike flying through the air on a jump. Not all trails are marked "bike" only. If you are hiking down from Red Mountain on the steep east trail, the bikes can't always see you in their jumps.

CanadaThe signage to find the hotel was poorly identified, with little information about how to manage driving around the construction. Outside parking was not very accessible and easy to use. Food was overpriced, but not unexpected as it is a ski resort.
Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was very nicely completed and designed, simple and effective.
