Pleasantly surprised about the hotel. Great location, clean and comfy beds and the breakfast was good. So glad we stayed here over those chain hotels. Will stay here again and recommend to all passing through Nelson.

The property was beautifully redone and very comfortable. The bed was exquisite and the bathroom was lovely. We had a window that peeked out to the water. The location was 10/10! Definitely recommend.

Location was great. Staff were very accommodating. Very nice boutique hotel. They were able to accommodate our e-bikes in a secure location of the hotel. Nice room and would definitely stay again . Highly recommend.

Minor thing- parking garage is a few blocks away, but easy to get to and very low cost for the daily rate. Other than that, our time here was great!

Great hotel on the main road that is super walkable to shops and restaurants! The rooms are modern, fully equipped with what we needed, and it was also very spacious. I wish we would of had more time to stay longer! All the amenities were nice too- very soft towels, nice soaps, nice quality bedding/pillows, etc. Staff was also very friendly and informative. The next time I'm in Nelson, I would absolutely stay here again!

We had everything we needed at the Oak Hotel but for information sakes: there are no mini fridges or coffee in the rooms (we had some perishables for our road trip we thought we could keep cool overnight). Not a huge deal just something that was missing that you usually find in hotels.

Staff and room was great. Lots of communication leading up to our stay. Loved that they had a bike room to store our mountain bikes, and the location was great being downtown. It is an older hotel that has been renovated and looks and feels great. There is no onsite parking but we are used to that staying at other hotels in Nelson, and isn't a big deal or hassle.

Former backpackers frequenting hostels turned late 30s parents fancying confort (and becoming very picky) for their couple's getaways. It was our first time at The Oak Hotel. Upon booking, we were doubtful looking at the awesome pictures vs the more than reasonable price. It just happens that this place is great. No other words to say it. The room was modern, very efficiently furnished, and quiet. The Oak Hotel is also located on Nelson's main street so you are walking distance from everything.

It was quite loud, we could Hear the neighbours in the rooms beside us coughing.

Location could not be more central. The breakfast included was great and the games room was a hit. The bike storage was also a huge plus.

Hotel smelled good, from the moment you enter the lobby. Room was small but spotless. Having been camping for a week, the roomy shower (so clean) with its Rocky Mountain Soap amenities was greatly appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable.
