Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt wasn't clear that we were renting a room within a timeshare unit, a lockout I think it's called. The issue is that the noise & light from the adjoining suite and the smell from their cooking just overwhelmed our room. Not the other renters fault but I have a very sensitive sense of smell and the aroma of onions frying at 630am was not enjoyable at all and then the room just didn't air out from it and it was multiple days in a row of the same. I shoved cloths under the adjoining door to help with the noise/smell/light coming through, but it was insufficient. The lock for the main room door was functional but in need of replacement. When we first arrived, I thought I was punching in the wrong code, and in fact, you just needed to put your shoulder into it a little to get the door to open. Locking from within the room, you had to fiddle with the lock & door to get it to lock. The whole locking unit looks beat up and ready to be turfed. Finally, I don't know if it's the construction of the building or the placement of this unit, but there was so much noise from people simply entering and exiting the building. You know, people are stamping their feet clean or pulling their luggage, and it just sounded like elephants. Fine if it's the middle of the day but not cool late at night and early in the morning before the alarm.

CanadaThere was no air conditioning, very warm winter blankets, under which it was very hot in the summer, but without blankets it was quite cool. A huge number of dogs without leashes and owners who sometimes rushed at us. When we reported this to the front line, they only thanked us, and the dog continued to walk, although the policy stated that dogs should not be left without a leash. The Jacuzzi was closed all the time.
The apartment that we rented was fully equipped, big size rooms, beautiful design, magnificent mountains views from all rooms, away from the noise of the train and highway.

United KingdomAlthough ski lockers are available, there is no facility to dry or store ski boots (other than in the apartment). It would be a nice facility to have this available. Also, its a shame that guests cannot use the swimming pool and am unsure as to why this is. Having spoken to other guests (not owners) they were able to use the pool. Although the hot tub is lovely, it's nearly impossible to get in it between 4pm and 10pm due to the volume of apartments & people per hot tub.
Beautiful, clean and homely apartment. The apartment is kitted out beyond expectation and was truly a pleasurable stay. The ski village & lifts are only a 5-10 minute short walk from Timberline.

CanadaThe air conditioner could have been set up. The Television was very difficult to work. I ended up ordering Netflix so my 2 grandchildren had something to watch on our down time. We were very disappointed that we could not swim in the pool. We usually swim every day. It would also have been nice if there had been an elevator. The temperature was extremely high making carrying Luggage extremely difficult.
The views were excellent. The unit was quite spacious, nicely furnished and clean. It was well equipped and also very quiet. The beds were comfy.
