Absolutely beautiful location, our car broke down nearby when we were staying there and the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The food and service is five star. Highly recommend this place & definitely will be back!

This Lodge is a hidden gem in thru Canadian wilderness. It's location is remote, that gives you a feeling of exclusivity. The view of the lake and surranding mountains from the lake front rooms is spectacular, rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Restaurant and the service is superb, bar serves fantastic cocktails and wine list is having a great and diverse selection. Breakfast on the deck with the view is a must! I have to mention the superior Spa, highly recommended. The lake's dock is equipped with boats, boards etc and Adventure kiosk offers interesting activities.

Everything is great! Excellent service, all small things we need were provided before our request! The view from our room was stunning and unforgettable, all my family members enjoyed the so good experience. The hot tub, spa and restaurant are great.We loved everything about this trip, especially the service! Truly luxury vacation 😊

Spa facilities were not working during my visit. Room (lake facing) did not have aircon and it was unusually warm while we were there so sleeping was not easy.

Superb remote location. Large comfortable beds. Delicious food. Wonderful, helpful staff. Very clean everywhere.

Draw back of a lake facing room was that it got pretty warm in the afternoon and evening, Room could have done with a fan just to circulate the air a bit more

I booked a forest facing room but what we got instead was a dirt pile. Unbeknownst to me, there was a very loud construction project going on, so the day I didn't feel well and wanted to stay in the room and read was ruined with a power washer tool to break up hard soil and a pump tube sucking it all up into a truck right outside our window. There was no mention of this on the website, and I wasn't informed by email prior to check in. I wasn't going to write this review, but after mentioning it to the front desk staff, then emailing them the day after our stay and also filling in their feedback form I have heard nothing from management. The lodge is beautiful and I wish I could leave it at that but I do not feel valued as a guest, nor do I think my feedback mattered to management, Disappointed.

I have stayed at Tyax a few times over the years, the first time I was 14, the year they opened. The staff are amazing, the rooms themselves are very nice and have comfy beds.

Sauna was broken for our entire stay. Hot tub was broken for the entire stay. Wish they told us at check in so we didn't have to head down there in bathrobes like idiots to find out it was broken. Told us breakfast was a la cart the night before, but changed to 'buffet' in the morning. Hot food trays were all empty. Bathtub was plugged so badly it wouldn't drain and I had to fish out a giant clump of hair afterhours.

Nice peaceful quiet location in front of the lake. Beautiful views. Clean, quiet, lots of table space. "Chocolate climb" dessert at the restaurant was the best chocolate dessert. Epic goo. Order it.

I don’t even know where to begin—our stay at Tyax Lodge and Heliskiing was nothing short of a dream come true! I had secretly planned to propose to my girlfriend during our stay, and coordinated everything in advance with the incredible hotel staff through Booking.com. What awaited us when we arrived was beyond perfect. We had a stunning room with a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains right from our balcony—it truly felt like something out of a fairytale. The staff went above and beyond to make everything smooth and comfortable. Whether it was helping with an HDMI cable for my MacBook, bringing us bowls for our instant noodles, or providing cutlery—every little request was met with warmth and care. And then came the big moment: on June 1st, I proposed to my girlfriend on the beautiful coastal side of the hotel, surrounded by nature’s beauty… and she said yes! The view, the setting, the emotion—it was all absolutely unforgettable. What made it even more special? The staff, who had all been part of the secret, celebrated with us by preparing congratulatory cocktails. Everyone had been in on the surprise—except for my girlfriend! Later at dinner, we were served with such care and kindness—special thanks to Tetiana and Nico. Nico, one of the chefs, surprised us with two beautiful chocolate cakes bearing heartfelt messages: “To Future Mr & Mrs” and “Cheers to Forever.” It was thoughtful, emotional, and honestly the cherry on top of an already magical day. Beyond the proposal, we also enjoyed a peaceful canoe ride, relaxed in the sauna, and explored the amazing facilities—everything was well-maintained, beautifully designed, and added so much to our stay. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting or experience for our engagement. Tyax Lodge made it all possible—it felt like something out of a storybook. Five stars, from the bottom of our hearts. Highly, highly recommend!
