How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No complaints, very happy with everything.
A very well maintained motel, very clean, great air conditioner. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, internet and TV worked well. The bed was very comfortable and the mini fridge freezer kept our icepacks frozen +++ The grounds around the motel are lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

I wasn't able to use the wifi as the login information was not accurate and it wasn't written down in the room anywhere. Having a typed chart in the room would eliminate login information confusion. However, that is quite minor. Travelling alone as a female requires the utmost attention to security. The room had only a doorknob lock that I could break into with a the sleight of a credit card (I didn't actually do this) and no security chain. The rooms, especially being exposed directly to the outside motel-style, should absolutely have a deadbolt lock. Other than that, the motel was quite pleasant.
The room rate was reasonable and the room clean. The bed was very comfortable.

Well...from a woman's point of view a full length mirror by the sink outside the bathroom would make applying make up much easier and to be able to check clothes would be nice!!!
The location was perfect for what we were doing in Westport (Cove Inn)!!!

Nothing! I know that's hard to believe, but it completely suited my needs. Stayed 2 nights while kayaking in the region.
The woman who greeted me at reception was wonderful, professional & friendly. This little motel is quiet, clean, the rooms are newly renovated, with a full selection of satellite TV options. Close to downtown and the lake. Great value for money. I'd go back!

The mattress was very firm. The tap in the bathroom was slow to drain. I had to lift the lip of the drain so that the water would go down

Convenient location. Arrived on our motorcycles in the rain and staff provided towels to clean our bikes.

Garbage wasn’t emptied, towels not replaced, floor not swept after 1st night.
I liked the grounds with outdoor spaces to sit comfortably. Close to town.

There were only two pods of coffee for the machine (Keurig) and the office was not open at 8 am to ask for more.
The motel was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Not grand luxe but we were not expecting that. They had a nice outdoor area with BBQ's and chairs.

The room was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Westport is a beautiful little town. We were there for a family reunion/surprise Birthday party. We will be back for a visit.

Our room was comfortable and very clean. Check in was quick and straightforward. Denis is very friendly and helpful. The motel is about a 10 minute walk into the little town which is situated in a very picturesque spot. If you like walking and enjoying nature the Foley Conservation area is the place to go.

Disappointed with Booking.com. Misrepresented by booking.com. According to booking.com my room was to be in the rear of the motel & water view. There was no rooms in the back & no water to be found except in the bathroom E-mailed booking.com a few times & they haven't bothered to respond because they know they lied about this place. Shame on you booking.com. You've lost a customer!!!!
Nice clean room. Bed not very comfy. It looked like the room had recently been renovated. Great shower but hard to get the hot water to come on. Very quiet. Friendly staff
