How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was a rotten sausage in the fridge and a jar of pickles probably left by previous guest.

We had a funny time looking to use the pool next door. So we needed some clearer instructions on that and it is a bit of a walk outside in the robe to get there. was looking to have a bit more of a romatic setting- which it was until night time. there were a couple of warm light bulbs but they were getting replaced by cool light bulbs and it gave a office vibe to the room.

Verified reviewThe staff were fantastic, going out of their way to move us to another Executive Inn location where the rooms were what we were expecting when we booked. The staff are FIVE STAR. It is unfortunate that they are the ones that have to deal with the dishonest advertising of this hotel.
The photos used by Executive Inn Whistler are NOT the rooms in that hotel. They are photos of the rooms at Executive Inn Mountainside, their sister hotel. The photos show spacious, clean, updated rooms. This is not what we got. The queen loft room at the E.I.W is tiny, does not have a couch or a fireplace, and is NOTHING like the photos. The E.I.M room we ended up in resembled the advertised photos, but was far more dated. Still no fireplace and with damaged, chipped & broken floor tile throughout, black mold in the bathtubs/showers and floor grout, damaged & dirty cabinets, dust collected in all carpeted corners, and a dingy bathtub that drains so slowly that it fills up to your calves during a shower. We understand that hotels in the Village are expensive, especially on a long weekend. What we dont appreciate is the false advertising by Executive Inn. We will definitely be choosing another hotel in the future.

Our room was different than the regular ones and too small. Also the entrance and the pool area, which is in the building across the street was a bit dirty.

The facilities were weird, you have to walk to the neighbouring property to use the pool and hot tub. The floor plan of the hotel is awkward, you take an elevator to your floor then navigate a maze of hallways and staircases to get to your actual room, dragging your luggage. The suite was oddly laid out. The bed upstairs with a winding staircase between your bed and the bathroom. The bed tightly squished in a loft so one person can only get out of bed by climbing over the other person. The room needed a deep cleaning, very dusty. The toilet flushing sounded like a plane launching.

Can't blame the facility for the heat but ...making sure the blackout blinds are down to keep out the build up of heat is a wise move before people arrive. Air Con was good but working awfully hard.

Verified reviewLocation was perfect. Balcony overlooked the village which was nice. Staff was friendly and room was spacious.
The bed was in the loft, and in 34 degree weather it got very hot and stuffy. A fan was provided, however a portable air conditioning unit would have been better. The AC on the main floor worked well, the cool air just didn’t make it up to the loft. We also found the pillows on the bed to be quite uncomfortable.

Verified reviewWhistler Executive Inn was a comfortable suite, well equipped and in a fabulous location in Whistler Village handy to restaurants, bars and the gondola.
The bed was a bit noisy. Parking is limited in Whistler, and although the property has parking, it comes at a cost.
