Room and shower were very small. The door was not properly fitted to the frame, with large gaps at the top and bottom. Light from the hall leaked into the room all night. We never got to see any management personnel our entire 2 night stay.

Small room, close quarters, needed updating. It lacked amenities such as wash cloths, coffee/tea, cups, mugs, etc.

The room was tight but served its purpose as a haven in a storm. It was on a quieter street so that was good.

Interestingly enough my room did not have a trash can, so I ended up collecting my trash over the few days I was there and discarded it at the end of my stay. I am sure if I had asked the front desk they would have been happy to provide one! Parking was rather tight even though I had a smaller car, so be prepared for that and the bathrooms can be a little tight as well. There is no complimentary breakfast as some booking sites suggest for this place, but there is a restaurant that supposedly has great fish and chips located just downstairs.

The room was quite spacious and it had everything I needed for a relaxing weekend! An added bonus was the mini fridge and microwave plus the tv that had various streaming apps available. The overall inn had a warm, welcoming and comfortable feel to it and it really had the "country" vibe! I also loved how close this place was to the lake/beach and to grocery stores.

The Windspire Inn in Port Elgin served as a convenient base for our recent trip, primarily due to its proximity to the MacGregor Point Provincial Park

Booking pricing was too high per night and for the end of season.. Pricing at other inn per night and closer to the beach was only $90 per night, which brings us to $180 plus taxes. We could had saved over $120 for the 2 nights. This pricing was for a much higher quality inn or hotel.

Location. On a quiet street 3 blocks from beautiful beach, 4 blocks from Main Street with restaurants. Shops, gas station and only 15 min drive from the national park.

The duvet didn't have a cover on it which we found a little odd. The inn is definetly old, and therefore has quirks. But it is still a great place to stay!

The location was great and we were pleasantly surprised by our room! We can see that there are improvements to the property and inside decor since our stay last year! Our room had a TV, mini fridge, microwave, and AC. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and we appreciated the free toiletries, and how close the beach was.

Staff was unresponsive and unhelpful, place looks like it’s not being cleaned, stairs were dirty, flies everywhere. The shower stall opens directly into the room. Looks like it was once a really nice boutique inn but new owners are not keeping it clean and it’s become more of a short/long term lodging house.

The room was so small and the door wasn't fit properly so light and noise from the hall poured in all night long. Air conditioning took forever to cool the room. Shower stall so small I could barely fit. The exterior of the Inn really needs a clean up as the back common area was overgrown with weeds and not flowers in the gardens. Patio furniture broken and uncomfortable.

The location is great as it's within walking distance to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant attached to the Inn provided good food and beverages.

The facility is a little worn and aged. Needs some updating, but I honestly wasn't expecting much.it feels more like you are staying in a room at someone's house instead of an inn/motel.

The continental breakfast had few options. It was difficult to communicate with the owner, she barely speaks English. I asked her to leave us some items for the breakfast because we needed to leave at 7 am and her answer was that the breakfast started at 8:30 am. In any other hotel, breakfast starts at 6:00 am
