I couldn’t fault the hotel but we had an evening meal here and as there was only one other couple in the restaurant we felt we were being rushed so they could close down for the night.

The room was small but exceptionally clean and comfortable with a great shower. It looked virtually brand-new. Although we were on the third floor there was an elevator so no issue with luggage. Parking was straightforward with plenty spaces outside albeit chargeable. We may have been lucky as it was off-season. The big selling point with this hotel is the location it is right on the shore of the Lake in a fantastic area. I would definitely stay here again.

Great room with balcony and gorgeous views over Lake Maggiore. Excellent location to enjoy the waterfront parkland. Breakfast was way overpriced for what was offered. The poorest fare we've had on this trip in one of the loveliest hotels - and a restaurant hotel at that.

Enjoyed breakfast (selection of few meats and some cheese, yogurt, fresh squeezed juice, cereal of coffee/hot chocolate). Would have been great to also have a couple fruit options like a banana, etc. Bathroom/shower was very small, but overall a great value.

Loved the view from the balcony over the lake, perfect! Location on the lake and only 5-minute walk from train station couldn’t be better. Hotel sits above a restaurant so options are right there. Owner and staff were super friendly and kept our bags for a couple hours after our checkout so we could walk around a little before our train left. Great to have the Ticino Ticket included so we could also take the bus over to the even quieter town of Ascona. Breakfast was great, and quiet. Again, owner provided personal, friendly service and attention.

Had quick lunch upon arrival, which was honestly below our - medium - expectation (Insalata Caprese without basil). Bathroom dated, but functional, with very few rather random toiletry items like if these had been collected from other hotels. Breakfast OK but quite limited. Overall impression is that this hotel maybe lacks some TLC. For this price they should (try to) do much better, despite the great location.

The location is certainly a plus: spacious balcony, reclining chairs, view on the lake, at the boulevard where there is some traffic but surprisingly it's very quiet. Room was certainly more than big enough. Beds very good. Staff friendly, albeit in a bit routine sort of way (they clearly have seen way too many tourists in their life).

balcony mountain view was at rear of building bathroom too smal and outdated. hair dryer old. mirror in bathroom too high so as to render it unusable only one chair in the room. no luggage rack. did not like having to access the hotel thru restaurant.

What an amazing location! Great view from the balcony over the lake, and also from the restaurant where we ate breakfast. Just a few minutes walk from the station and across the road from the lake but nice and quiet. Breakfast was ok too. Nice coffee and a selection of bread, cheese and cold meats.

It was difficult to shower without getting the bathroom floor wet

The location , a short walk from the station, on the lakeside was ideal. The room was a good size, with the addition of a small balcony and the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of space to unpack and the tea and coffee facilities much appreciated. There was a lovely selection for breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.
