Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo A/C, meaning in the summer 4 persons in a very small room is sweltering. Kitchen is very small if you are spending some time there.

United KingdomNo staff, I was unsure on what room number I was and couldn’t find anyone to help
Really convenient location, right next to the train station, but quiet still. I also liked the electronic key on my phone and no card to forget.

FinlandThe electronic key system is completely dependant on the WiFi. The WiFi didn't work seamlessly, therefore there were times when I couldn't access my room for a brief moment. Using key cards would make things much simpler.

SwitzerlandNoisy, and the access to my room did not work anymore at 7.00am in the next morning…I wanted to go back to my room after showering and it wasn’t accessible anymore! Lucky enough a staff member opened it for me. Unbelievably inconvenient.

United KingdomJust needed an overnight stay here, somewhere cheap and easy, and I was very happy. There's a nice sized kitchen/dining area to prepare/eat food, the dorm beds are fine, didn't even need the duvet in the heat. It's also right next to the train station and the station bike racks so it's very convenient.

NetherlandsThere were no employees at all, it was all self service. The rolling curtain could not open well and because of that it was really warm inside the room. The lights were not comforting at all because they all very bright. The checkin was all thru the phone wich was not good if your phone is not charged or if you have no phone.
The showers and bathroom were really good but there was no soap available.

UkraineMOST IMPORTANT: there were live and dead cockroaches in the room! although the room seemed clean at first glance! no one gets rid of them and they don't even hesitate to remove the dead ones ATTENTION: despite the fact that Booking.com states that check-in is from 2pm and check-out is until 11am - they write in private messages that check-in is from 4pm (2 hours later) and check-out is until 10am (1 hour earlier), all messages are IGNORED. To check in you need to have internet, geolocation enabled on your smartphone - it's inconvenient and not safe. In the morning after 10:00 the option to open the room disappeared from the page, it's good that we were inside the room! Nevertheless, we saw the employee, and also used cards from other rooms - so they exist. In the our private BATHROOM there were NO SHOWER GEL, SHAMPOO, and even a SOAP! I don't know what we paid 125 francs for per night, this is absurd and nonsense.
Good location, near the train station. Normal size room, quite comfortable beds. There is a kitchen with utensils, kettle, fridge. These are probably all the advantages of this place, but they are nothing compared to what we encountered here! This place has a good potential, but unfortunately, the cleanliness and staff attitude towards the guests cancel everything out.

SlovakiaComplicated entrance with door code, opening second doors with app and room opening with app. You just dont want to load webside everytime you want to enter your room or go to toilet. Cannot imagine what would happen if I forgot my phone inside the room and went to shower or something. There is nobody on the reception and I just met some staff accidentaly. So you cannot talk about customer service when there is no customer interaction whatsoever. Also sleeping bags instead of duvet. On one side super modern entrance thru app, on the other camping vibe from the 90's with sleeping bags. And charging extra fot that is absolute nonsense. Its not cheap even for Swis hostel, blanket should be included.
Biggest advantage and lucky coincidence was that I was alone for both nights in 4 bed dormitory so I have had enough space. Location is main plus here. Nice terrace. Decent kitchen at least clean even if small. Beds are comfy. Would stay again but gosh that entrance system is anoying.

Luckily we had 2 phones as one of them would not allow to connect to the door 2. the room was very small and grim 3. the room was very hot but could not keep the window open as the hostel is just opposite the station so you can hear the trains 4. the rooms was noice and you could hear everybody entering/leaving the building 5. tried contacting support for help to access the building but no response 6. high price for what provided

SwitzerlandNothing. The place is perfect for me and my daughter
We were assisted during the check-in with my daughter. The place seems calm, the entrance and the room can be accessed by phone. More on the technology side now. And there are so nice people who offered us dinner. And had a niceconversation with them. So great to be here!!! We will come again soon. The salon area for having a machine if you want to have coffee or other warm drinks. There is also a vensing machine for cold drinks. If you want to do your own food, there is a kitchen specified for that, boiling water, fridge, etc. And well placed near the train station.

SwitzerlandIt's a bit unclear with bedding, which items in the room were left for me and which were meant for other guests (as you don't have a specific bed allocated). I think you get a bottom sheet and pillowcase, but a sleeping bag costs extra, or bring your own. Also bring a padlock if you want to lock your cupboard.
Very convenient by the station, but on the quieter side. Rooms are ok size for 4 beds. Very clean and modern. Beds each have a reading light and plug. Self-check and opening doors with a smart phone is a bit strange but worked well.
