It has really good views and is well located, near the bus station. You can also walk to downtown, but it’s about a 20-minute walk. Our room was very clean and had a balcony with a really nice view

It’s an old building, so it’s easy to hear noise from the other rooms. The people in the room next to ours were especially noisy.

Great staff who helped us with walking routes. The place was super clean and the breakfast was all you could need.

Nothing. The bar not being open on a Sunday wasn’t ideal but you know that when booking so can make other plans for the evening

We really enjoyed the views of the surrounding mountains, the top floor terrace, the friendly staff, and dinner at the restaurant in Hotel Alpenblick served local delicious dishes!

I don’t know how this hotel gets an 8/10 rating, because my experience was nowhere close. Sure, the location is near the bus stop, breakfast is just okay, and one gentleman on staff was polite. But the rest? A total letdown. Two of the ladies working here were flat-out rude. Ask them a question and you get a nasty look, like you’re a problem for wanting basic answers. Dorm rooms are tiny, cramped, and the decks are ridiculously low. Pillows are terrible you’ll wake up with a stiff neck, guaranteed. Flies everywhere. For a hotel, that’s disgusting. Internet is so slow it’s basically useless. This hotel might fool you with decent reviews, but the reality is very different. The way guests are treated (In my case) here is unacceptable, and the facilities don’t measure up. I would never recommend this place to anyone friends, family, or all followers. Pay a bit more and will get a better service,

Dorm room in the cellar, very very basic. No privacy, no bed curtains, no bed lamp, the curtains of the windows too small to cover the whole window, no ladder to climb in the bed, shower decent, place to brush teeth has no facilities, it's just a large sink and a mirror. Common room is a small kitchen with 1 table, some old chairs and a microwave. Nothing special, just very very basic.

Location: we drove here and parking was free which was a bonus and we were blessed to have a large corner room with 2 windows opening to AMAZING views! A quick 5 minute walk down the hill and you’re in the shopping/ restaurant area. Perfect location to start our hikes to Pfingstegg- Baregg, and Bort- First. Even though we didn’t have a private toilet/ shower this was not an issue for us as the shared facilities were only 10 steps away from the room, always clean, always available, and the pressure in the shower was great! Breakfast- a variety of teas, black coffee, orange juice, apple juice. They had a cereal option, yogurt, granola, jams, fresh bread and a toaster, cheeses, spreads and cold meats, boiled eggs. Nothing too fancy but this fuelled us up for the day of hiking. Come the evening you could always use the kettle and microwave to heat up meals from the ‘Coop’ if you were on a budget like us.

Absolutely stunning location, friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast!

Beautiful room with everything we needed. Our room had private access to the terrace on the top floor, which had an amazing view of the mountains. The breakfast was also excellent.

The only thing we were disappointed about and didn’t know is the fact that the laundromat is not open on Sundays. Wish we had known this.

Breathtaking view from our window and a large outside terrace with tables and chairs just down the hall always open, even for stargazing!Wonderful old hotel with history and charm! Don’t expect luxury accommodations but if you want an authentic Swiss experience away from the touristy center of town this is the place. Short walk or bus ride to town. Delicious breakfast buffet and restaurant on site. Laundry facilities.Stayed 3 nights- not long enough!

Wonderful Stay! Stayed 3 nights at Alpenblick and it was amazing! Staff were friendly, breakfast was tasty, and the views of the Alps in the morning were unforgettable. The location was a bit tricky on the first day as the bus stops around 6:45 pm, so we had to carry our luggage—but it was totally worth it. Highly recommend!

The hotel is a beautifully maintained traditional Swiss building, full of charm and character. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay—always warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. From the moment we checked in, they made us feel welcome and well cared for, going above and beyond to ensure that everything was just right. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options to suit different tastes. It was the perfect way to start the day Overall, this hotel combines traditional Swiss charm with excellent service, modern comforts, and thoughtful facilities. It is a property we would be delighted to return to and one we can confidently recommend to others.

We loved the privacy of our dorm and the facilities were amazing! The location was also fantastic and we got really lucky with our room that had a window leading directly to the back garden overlooking the mountains, which was where we ate dinner every night! Breakfast buffet was really nice as well

The family room was big with two floors. My kids loved that. The restaurant dinner tasted very well. Front desk lady was very nice. During the busy dinner time, she still stopped and answered me questions. The room service young guy was nice as well. He helped me doing laundry. Another front desk guy with glasses was rude. Didn’t help at all. Besides the room had no AC. Making it hot to sleep in August. And the guy told me the hotel had no fan to lend….
