Staff was friendly and hotel was very clean. Breakfast was great too. We arrived early and were allowed to drop off our luggage and go for an afternoon hike.

Soft beds. The room smelled a bit when we first arrived but once we aired out the rooms with the netted windows it was fine for the rest of our stay.

The location was amazing, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a very homely feel to it. Perfect value for money. The hotel is dated but I didn't think that was a bad thing. We went as a family of 2 adults and 2 children and it had everything we needed. Free parking, Free Wi-Fi, Continental breakfast and amazing views. I would definitely stay here again if I was to return to kandersteg.

A bit outdated, but authentic, swiss style.

Great location. Helpful stuff. It was great, that they have electric car charger. Good breakfast. Single room still quite roomy and has a balcony with great mountain view.

Not all amenities are available. Breakfast is good but if you ask for anything like "omelets" or say "kettle" "iron box" you get a standard reply - "we are a 2 star hotel. We do not provide this or that"

Location of the Hotel is great. 3-4 mins walk from the city center. The rooms are nice and the surrounding of the hotel extraordinary. Check in and check out was easy and the host very cooperative. Car parking was also next to the hotel.

Everything went well.

It is a cute hotel right in the city, 10 min walk or 1 3 min bus ride from the station. We had booked a smaller room and the owner upgraded us to accommodate the crib. The room and hotel were very clean, a good breakfast spread and quite central if you have to see the valley around.

The staff is super friendly, and I would especially like to highlight Ramona. We had to leave early the next morning and didn’t have the chance to have breakfast in the restaurant. She immediately prepared breakfast for us, which truly warmed our hearts.

The furniture is a bit old and the shower not so comfortable. Would be nicer to have a small fridge in the room.

It’s so close to Oeschinen lake trails. A lot of shop and restaurants near by. The view is so amazing from the hotel. Free parking.

Loved the place from the moment I arrived: well organized, clean, exactly what I needed for my hike up to Oeschinensee. It is close to the trail start, and has small and functional rooms. The breakfast is delicious, providing all that is needed for a good start into a hiking day. All in all: great stay, would totally recommend & stay here again.

As a solo traveller it was the perfect little cosy hotel for my 4 night stay. The room was very clean, very comfortable and had everything I needed. The balcony with a Mountain View was a huge bonus. For the price it was very good. Especially having breakfast included with great coffee!

The one complaint I have is very often the same for hotels in Europe, there was no air conditioning, and since it was a very warm day, it was difficult to sleep until the middle of the night when it cooled off.

We loved the town and the hotel was easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The views from our balcony were spectacular!

The TV in the room was quite old and positioned very high (for the top bunks). A more modern TV would have been better.

Breathtaking views of the mountains in Kandersteg from the large balcony in our room. The breakfast was great and the room was very clean.
