Great hotel in Kandersteg, perfect for Lake hike Clean room, very comfortable bed and a nice balcony Lovely staff - lots of info in the lobby about the hikes Breakfast was included and was fantastic, there were heaps of options. Hot water to heat up food at night too.

Near bus stop and cable car to Oeschinensee Breakfast buffet Toilet Shower and bathtub in room 3rd bed have plug-in and light

No lift 3rd bed is very height and a little bit difficult to climb

Staff was friendly and hotel was very clean. Breakfast was great too. We arrived early and were allowed to drop off our luggage and go for an afternoon hike.

Soft beds. The room smelled a bit when we first arrived but once we aired out the rooms with the netted windows it was fine for the rest of our stay.

It was in a gorgeous location and very near to the cable car to the Oeschinensee. The bed was comfortable enough. We really enjoyed the breakfast, there was enough diversity: it had fruits, croissants, cheese and much more. The man from the hotel was also friendly.

The room was not the most clean. We couldn’t see much through our window because it was very greasy. Also the bathroom was a bit outdated and not the cleanest. But overall doable.

Very homely, clean and comfortable (we loved the comfortable bedsheets and the laundry scent), great Swiss cabin experience. The breakfast was decent and a great start to each day.

Slightly further out from the main attraction but I’m nitpicking. Eveything was lovely!

The location was amazing, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a very homely feel to it. Perfect value for money. The hotel is dated but I didn't think that was a bad thing. We went as a family of 2 adults and 2 children and it had everything we needed. Free parking, Free Wi-Fi, Continental breakfast and amazing views. I would definitely stay here again if I was to return to kandersteg.

Great location. Helpful stuff. It was great, that they have electric car charger. Good breakfast. Single room still quite roomy and has a balcony with great mountain view.

A bit outdated, but authentic, swiss style.

The gentleman at reception was nice and friendly. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast. We were able to leave our bags safely after checking out, so that we could enjoy the day before having to catch a later train. There was a fridge available to guests on the first landing, which we didn't realise until a few days had passed. A guest card was provided.

We had a family room which had a ladder to get to the upper bed, which we were aware of before booking, but it's probably not suitable for young children to use as it was quite difficult to climb up, and the balcony was quite low as was the ceiling. The property was one of the last on the street, about 10 or 12 minutes from the station and from the road to the cable car to the lake - not a problem for us, but just a note to be aware of.

Location of the Hotel is great. 3-4 mins walk from the city center. The rooms are nice and the surrounding of the hotel extraordinary. Check in and check out was easy and the host very cooperative. Car parking was also next to the hotel.

Not all amenities are available. Breakfast is good but if you ask for anything like "omelets" or say "kettle" "iron box" you get a standard reply - "we are a 2 star hotel. We do not provide this or that"

Nice hotel with character.

It is a cute hotel right in the city, 10 min walk or 1 3 min bus ride from the station. We had booked a smaller room and the owner upgraded us to accommodate the crib. The room and hotel were very clean, a good breakfast spread and quite central if you have to see the valley around.

Everything went well.
