SwitzerlandI returned to thew Hotel late in the evening and the doors were closed and locked. I managed to go through the Car Park and get inside, but only then did I see that guests need to go to the rear of the building to get access late at night - this information should be posted on the front door.

SingaporeThe stairs to the reception were a bit narrow, but there is a lift, so no worries about bring up your luggage. We walked the stairs, nevertheless when we do not have luggage with us. The hotel is in the same building as the retirement house. We saw couple of old folks in wheelchair in the restaurant. There is a coffee smell in the kettle from the restaurant, so hot water becomes coffee-flavored water. We had to drink bottled water instead. This is not a big deal to us, so we went to the restaurant to ask for hot water instead. The staff in the restaurant was friendly to answer any request from us, so thumbs up to them.
This room comes with free breakfast. Breakfast was good enough for us. The place is quiet and clean. We had a free chocolate in the room when we arrived. The rooms were clean although small. It looked like we are the only guest in the hotel (maybe it was low peak season). The location is fantastic as we do not have to drive around St Gallen. The hotel is within walking distance to the prime places. The hotel gave us free parking for our car.

United KingdomI wasn’t aware that the hotel is also (in a different area) a retirement home for the elderly. I think I would have still booked if I’d known though. It just took me by surprise and made me wonder if I was in the correct place to begin with.
The hotel is in a great location, has free parking and provides comfortable, clean room for guests. The staff were super-friendly and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay.
