Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsToo far for a daily commute to the skiing slopes, even with the train station next door.
Beautiful location, fantastic views of the mountains Nicely maintained facilities, attentive and friendly staff - Joseph was very helpful! Convenient to Zermatt with train, although the overall commute to start skiing was way too long everyday.

GermanyA bit old fashioned flat. Electricity wiring and contact problems (too old). Capricious WiFi. The luggage (un)loading path from the underground garage to the 5th floor was tedious (underground labyrinth, lift and stairs).
easy check in and check out. Reasonably well equipped, spacious, comfortable and practical flat.

SpainWe have been coming many times. Well maintained property. The apartment is a bit dated but everything in working order. Sauna, pool and garage included in the price. Very good price/quality. If you use the small train station next to the apartment, make sure you get the PAPER train tickets at Tasch terminal, they are 26 CHF for 6 rides. (versus one return ticket for 19CHF)

SwitzerlandLocation was quite bad if you’re not arriving by car. There’s a train station nearby that is serviced a handful of times a day, else it’s a 15 minute walk from Täsch station with your luggage. There’s absolutely nothing around the property
Great price, nice extras (sauna/pool)

IrelandApartment was very dated, would be best described as "Grandma's Flat" dusty cloth light bulb covers... TV & Broadband hadn't been updated since about 2010 I would say. Old Coaxial cable Tv didn't work and needs replacing only had basic free news channels. TV wasn't a Smart Tv so could not cast to it. WiFi was very slow, less than 10mb so used my own mobile data for watching YouTube etc. Shower was an old style cable shower head mounted low on the wall. Cleaning/towel change extra.
Overall happy, a No frills apartment stay. The Good points: Location is a 10 min walk from Tasch main train station. Apartment was a good size for me. Apartment was clean and painted. Building appears to be mostly residential and was very quiet after dark. Although there's no full time receptionist, you call them on the reception phone and they come within 10 mins. Parking is underground in a designated spot and is included. Kitchen is supplied with all the basics to cook,

SlovakiaThe chip locking system was weird - from inside, you can never by sure if you are locked or not. About 600m walk to the Täsch train station - for someone it could be a bit too much, but it was not a problem for us.
Price - absolutely the best value for money I could find anywhere near Zermatt. Free facilities - indoor swimming pool, wellness, tennis court etc.

SpainThe inventory was a bit poor. I would suggest a microwave, a nespresso machine. (dishwasher will be difficult to place) The beds could be a bit longer. The shower head is placed much too low. Overall modernisation of the apartment/furniture would be nice.
Spacious apartment with pool, sauna, indoor garage and good train connection to Zermatt at a 5 minute walk. Service was OK. Good value for money.

Hong KongTrains stop 100m away from hotel in the morning from 8 to 10 am (every 30 minutes) to Zermatt and go back to the hotel from Zermatt in the afternoon from 4:15 to 6:15 pm (every hour). The hotel has a small indoor swimming pool, sauna room and gym free for use by the visitors.

NetherlandsThe apartment we stayed at is a very old one, old furnitures, kitchen and sofa are super outdated. The flooring is also with old carpet. Bathroom is clean but really not comfortable to use. Only the bed linen seems new and maintained at least The apartment facilities like the pool also has a lot of broken tiles. And the place is shared with regular residents
Close to Tasch station, not too crowded area. The staff who greeted us and gave us the key is also really friendly and helpful when we had some trouble. The beds are comfortable and has clean sheets.

PolandAppartments looks good only from outside. Our appartment was very small, everything very old and a little dirty. Especially awful was the bathroom, dirty old carpet flooring and curtains, last time washed probably 5 years ago.
Wonderful view from the balcony. Good location to visit Zermatt.

PolandIn my personal opinion the pillows could be more fluffy, but that's just my preference ;]
Upon arrival the apartment was pristine clean with all necessities and plenty of space to move around. Located 10 minutes relaxed walk from the train station, it is a quiet location with a view on the mountains. All appliances needed to prepare meals were available and there was a lounging area to relax on a bad weather day. There was much more included than we expected for the price we paid. The stay was a real pleasure!

FinlandWe booked Monte Rosa for a week's skiing holiday in February 2023. We selected Monte Rosa because it was so much cheaper than the options at Zermatt village, but we were afraid that getting to Zermatt would be a hassle, and the hotel seemd quite old. We shouldn't have worried. Let's start with the hotel and room: Although it must have been built in the 70s or earlier and a lot is in its original condition, a lot has also been recently updated. The doors and electric locking were new. Beds new. Kitchen new... Recent updates here and there across the hotel. We had a penthouse with two bedrooms (twin beds) and a fold-away bed for the fifth one in the living room. The fold-away was a nice bonus and as comfy as a regular bed. We were expecting a sofa bed, which is never that good. The kitchen, as said, was recently updated with integrated appliances: a fridge with an ice box, washing machine, stove & oven, but no microwave. The room had wifi, a TV, and a hair dryer. Hotel amenities: The hotel has a gym, swimming pool, and sauna (with a cold water tank), and we use them all every day! The garage was big enough even for our minibus. Outside parking is possible. And there was a ski room on the ground floor. Getting to Zermatt: The hotel has a private train station just about 50 meters from the Hotel, with trains stopping several times in the morning and evening (see pic for timetable). We bought a weekly ticket to Zermatt (from Täsch train station); the price was 68 CHF (or thereabouts) for adults and half for kids. You'll arrive in Zermatt in about 10 minutes, and a free ski bus stop and the train station for Gornergrat train are just across the street. As quick and convenient as staying in Zermatt, unless you are just next to a bus stop or lift. The hotel has also arranged a shuttle service, which is a bit cheaper. The reception told us there were talks with the railway company to install a call button so all trains could stop at Monte Rosa.
