Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandWe didn’t mind but It’s a short 3min walk on a forest walk (not steep) from the place where the taxi drops you off. You need to carry your wheeler. But it’s more than worth it!
Amazing apartment on top floor of a building facing the Matterhorn, breathtaking views. Practical 4 bedrooms on 2 floors but only 2 bathrooms (one on each floor). Well equipped kitchen including a Nespresso coffee machine.

United KingdomLocation is on the edge of Zermatt but we used the red line bus successfully (it is very easy to navigate) and the walk from the bus stop up to the apartment is short and easy.
The best view in Zermatt! A beautiful apartment with a view from the balcony that has to be the best out there! The apartment was very comfortable (especially the beds) and the kitchen was very well equipped. Great walks direct from the door.

United KingdomWe had a fantastic stay in Alpharmonie. The apartment is beautiful: perfect for a cosy environment in the snow, but also light and airy when the weather is warm. The outstanding feature is the view: it’s stunning. Perfect to look out upon whilst having drinks or food on the balcony. There is a steep hill to into/from town, but it’s short and the bus stop is close, so it didn’t cause any problems.

United KingdomNothing we didn't like. A mirror in the bedroom would've been good.
The view from the apartment of the Matterhorn was incredible, very clean and comfortable. Good size for 2 people with cooking facilities. The free bus from the train station to the church was useful when we arrived, then it was only 7 minutes walk to the apartment.

United States2 bathrooms with 6 adults was a little tough especially because the one bathroom only has a bathtub (no separate shower). We all found the pillows to be a bit difficult to make comfortable and the beds were definitely firm. The fondue pot has a chip in the bottom and appears to need repair/replacement. A few of the dishes/silverware were not clean so we had to wash a few things before using them.
The view from the large outdoor patio was the highlight of this apartment. Who doesn't like looking at the Matterhorn while having coffee, wine or eating fondue? Space worked well for 6 of us staying so we could have breakfast and cook our own dinner and all eat together. While the location took a bit more time and energy to get to it was very nice to be away from any hustle and bustle which would result in extra noise. We found the apartment and outdoor patio to be very quiet and relaxing. The bus available at the chapel nearby was very handy and free to ride.

BulgariaWe loved everything about this apartment and wished we could actually live there! Yes, it's not in the center and some effort has to be put to get there especially with luggage (we took a cab the night we arrived since it was late - 26 CHF) but the location has to be one of the best places to stay in Zermatt if you want to enjoy unobstructed view of the Matterhorn - sunrise and sunset. The next days we figured out the free shuttle (the host provides this information about the line (red) and the stop) bus which stopped 5 mins away from the apartment and this helped us a lot when doing shopping and coming back late from our hikes. Otherwise, it took us about 15-20 mins to get to the center. The host was really responsive and provided clear instructions. The apartment itself is amazing. The furniture is new and really cozy. The bed was really comfortable. The shower was amazing, big, had good water pressure and there were amenities like shower gel and shampoo. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and we had coffee capsules left for us. And our favorite spot - the huge terrace with a mind-blowing view of the Matterhorn. There is a laundry/dryer you can use for 2 CHF each. There was also a fireplace which I would imagine would be a great asset during the winter. We self checked-in which was really convenient and were greeted by a bottle of wine and a few small chocolates. One of the days we hiked down from Gornergrat and guess where the path lead us - yes, right in front of our apartment! We would definitely love to stay in Apartment Alpharmonie again!

United KingdomWe arrived but no key in the key safe and I instantly went into a panic, I emailed and didn’t receive an immediate reply which meant I had to call. I didn’t have a Swiss phone plan, so I had to look into a phone plan and load money onto my account before I could make the phone call. This was very stressful but to be fair as soon as I spoke to the host the situation was remedied.
The view from this property was absolutely outstanding. Nice to be able to cook as eating out in Switzerland is very expensive. Love having space to spread out, we were a couple in the one bedroom apartment and we had plenty of room.
