The noise from restaurant was very bad on our 2nd night stay there, the restaurant was full with lots of people using the restroom which is next to the apartment and shouting and laughing until late. The pillows and beds are awful, the lighting is very dim and the floor boards creek a lot. There is no elevator. We were with children and the layout as described in other reviews is not suitable, as two beds are by the main entrance not a room, and the toilet is in the one bedroom, so if anyone needs to use the toilet at night everyone gets woken up. This is a great option for a group of adults for a night or two stay looking for simplicity to enjoy the city.

In summer, it was a bit too hot, but again, the accommodating host provided us with a fan. The apartment is set up more for dormitory sleeping accommodations, which was great for the 5 of us (including dog - pet friendly!), but there's no living space (couch, chair, etc.).

Arriving with a car made it a bit challenging to find, but host was so accommodating via phone and whatsapp to provide step by step instructions. Location for loading and unloading a car not ideal, but for touring the city, you couldn't be any more central. Ideally located for seeing the sites. After a two week holiday of tour biking, this was a perfect break from hotel living and camping, this apartment was perfect for a group who just wanted to chill at home, have a home-cooked meal, not have to out and about and RELAX.

- We knew there would be no air con but it was very hot. We kept the windows open which meant there was city noise till quite late - is just a trade off for the great location but did make sleep quite disturbed - The apartment is old and very basic. The windows / shutters don’t all work, there is a toilet pipe that runs across the bedroom ceiling, the floors / beds are very creaky noisy etc

- Fantastic location - Excellent communication from the host throughout eg. for check in, arranging Basel cards and checking our stay was going well - The apartment is quite large

We would have loved a sofa, instead of a bed/s in every room. It was quite basic. We thought if there were 6 adults it would be a struggle to share the one tiny bathroom. Having read the other reviews my expectations were not super high, so overall very happy with our stay. Tourist tax is payable on arrival. Having been to Switzerland a few times we knew this, but others may not and it should be clearer on the booking.

We were right in the centre, fantastic location. Our hosts were lovely, really helpful. The apartment was spacious for the three of us and clean.

there is not a 3 bedroom apartment actually 2 beds is in front of the main door with TV 2 beds is in living room with kitchen and table 1 double bed in bedroom with toilet restaurant’s toilet is next to an apartment, there are many people will come up, but we don’t mind this as we back to the apartment at night time

Easy to find and get to from the station. The guy who runs it is really nice and friendly and it’s in a great location right next to shops and a market

Beds and matresses are very cheap. Very bad pillows. It's not a three bedroom apartment. There's technically only one bedroom. But beds are located in the entrance room, living room and in a bedroom with a double mattress in the back. To reach the bedroom in the back where also the only bathroom is located you need to pass through all rooms.
