Dear Marie, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review and share your experience. We are very sorry to hear you felt disappointed and had a bad experience with parking in Switzerland and check-in at IIP Apartments. We have taken the chance to investigate and talk with all our team members about what happened. According to our records and team, it was spoken in person and with messages throughout your stay with three different guests, whose names have been noted, M. A. und S. and checked on different days. And the main conclusion was that we were informed that there are no free parking places around the apartment building or in Spreitenbach that we could point to or recommend at all for you to go and park for free, that we do not pay for driving fines: * Parking in any public area of Switzerland will require a payment. If you leave your car unattended and park it unpaid, unfortunately, there is a high chance there will be a fine issued for this. IIP Apartments cannot assume any responsibility for or charge for driving fines for our guests. * The parking in our building does not belong to IIP Apartments, but we are more than happy to recommend it for its safety, vicinity and direct entrance to the apartments. There are more than 100 spots where you can Park, some of them are very near the entrance to the apartments or to the payment machine. One of the days we went the extra mile to exchange money for one of you to be able to pay it at the machine, and when it was asked if everyone was happy and having a good stay, there was a positive response. This is an industrial and city neighborhood, and there are no free parking spaces like in most places in Switzerland. We wonder if you are disappointed with this detail, as in other countries it may be cheaper and easier to park anywhere. It was advised to all of your party that the parking we recommend for our guests is in the minus 1 and costs CHF 1.50/hour. *Regarding the check-in: Any hotel, apartment or short-term rental let that operates in Switzerland and most European countries is absolutely not allowed to give information about any of its guests stays for future, current or past reservations, following local data protection laws, privacy and safety rules. For additional guests to check in to a room with a different name, we would have to receive a message in advance with the additional guests names as a form of authorization. Otherwise, anybody would be able to use somebody else's reservations for multiple reasons, which are not always good. *When the second guest arrived at a different day than the first, we did not disclose any personal information, and we asked your friend to be so kind to wait in reception for a couple of minutes with a coffee while we checked this information for her, so she could contact her friend who was in the apartment sleeping. And we went discretely to this apartment without violating privacy rules to reconfirm this information very quickly—no more than 5 minutes. After both friends met, again in no more than 5 minutes, the problem was resolved, and all three friends we had the chance to meet were happy with our service. Some time after that, we received private messages at Booking.com with a complaint about the situation as if it were not solved, and we replied instantly. Then, in person again, one of your friends said it was all good, and somebody else sent this message. We are still not sure why you provided different opinions and feedback in person from your message and now sent us two bad reviews. Yes, traveling by car for so many hours may be exhausting, as you said: it was difficult to know where to park, and you urgently needed to go to the restroom. After the situation was resolved, you apologized for being so nervous and rude to our staff. We always offer our help, listen to guests, learn from feedback and respond to any requests fairly. But of course we cannot pay for guests driving fines or violate privacy rules. Besides, one of your friends said that you had problems at the previous accommodation you booked before arriving at ours, and that maybe the person who was sending the private messages was not sure with whom she was communicating. Once, again, we would like to express that we are sorry about the problems you found during this trip. If you have the time and interest, we are available to provide any further information about this region, our apartments, and our parking. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other requests. We hope you have a great week ahead. Management IIP Apartments
