Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaAll good.
Great welcome. Well located and quiet. Secure parking meant we didn’t have to worry about the car. It was hot so we were apprehensive for the fans in each room. Very clean and had everything we needed. 10 minute walk to the lake and perfect swimming spot.

CanadaThere was nothing I didn't like. My only challenge (and a small one at that) was I don't read German and initially wasn't sure of the settings on the washing machine 😀. Google translate helped me out fast with that! Again, not a problem with the apartment, it might just save you a few minutes if you're not familiar with German. I'm also sure that I could have asked for help if I had needed it.
I stayed for almost 3 weeks and it was a perfect base for my travels all over Ticino. Just a few minutes walk down to the train station and right on one of the main bus lines (#1). It's also close to a few supermarkets (Minusio Piazza) as well as the Piazza Grande and main sights of Locarno. The apartment is clean, spacious and has good airflow and lots of windows. The balcony is perfect to relax after a long day walking around. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe in the neighborhood, building and apartment. The few times I did see neighbors, they were always friendly. Both Daniel and Mr M.were very responsive and friendly in their dealings with me. Everything was pretty straightforward so I didn't need much. I had a great time, and would recommend this accommodation, and I also hope to come back again sometime.

NetherlandsWhat a great stay, in the middle of an old residential area of Muralto with stately old villas and hotels, and surrounded by palm trees. The apartment is located in a clean and spacious apartment building, with an elevator. You can park your car for free in the garage under the building. In Dutch we call this building a gallery flat (an apartment house where the front door opens onto an outside walkway). This outside walkway overlooks a large (overgrown) garden of a villa with palm trees and a stone gazebo. That is already a feast for the eyes. The apartment is the last on the corridor. What is not (yet) shown in the photos is that behind the front door there is a large square hall with mirrors, making the apartment very spacious. You can see immediately that everything is spotlessly clean! Everything is available in the kitchen, even a large freezer. Due to the special construction of the building, the apartment has 2 spacious triangular balconies, which are connected to each other. This is virtually impossible to capture on photo. The view from those balconies is phenomenal (not the lake, but on the city and surrounding mountains) and is located on a one-way street with palm trees. The apartment has large, thick towels, lots of mirrors, 3 fans with high stand, almost all windows have mosquito screens, 2 comfortable chairs with thick cushions on one balcony and a dining table with 4 chairs (and cushions) on the other balcony. We only missed outside light on the balconies. Contact with host Daniel went quickly and check-in is done by friendly Tino who can be reached via Whatsapp. In 10 minutes (downhill) you can reach the boulevard of Lake Maggiore and in 15 to 20 minutes (downhill) in the center of Locarno. But along the way you will come across so many photogenic houses, restaurants, shops and painted buildings that it will probably take you longer. Recommended is a visit to the Verzasca Valley with the beautiful Ponte dei Salti (18 km).
