I will repeat this place, because is well located , super clean and with friendly staff. In the map, the location looks far from the center, but is around 5 minutes or less walking , which is good at night because is quite area. The the rooms are spacious and super clean. The staff is friendly.

The main thing to be aware of is the hotel's location and access from the station. It can be a bit of a walk, and we would strongly advise travelers with large luggage not to follow Google Maps, as it will lead you up a very steep path. The much easier alternative is to take the bus, use the public elevator, and then it's just a short walk to the hotel. The only other minor point was some daytime construction happening across the street during our visit. There was a little noise, but honestly, it was not significant and did not bother us or detract from our wonderful experience at all.

Our stay at BaseCamp Hotel provided us with an unforgettable and truly impressive view of the Matterhorn that was worth every penny. We booked a room with a view, and it delivered spectacularly. The staff gave us a very friendly welcome and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay; we had emailed them several times about an extra bed before our arrival, and we were grateful for their consistent and reassuring responses. As first-time visitors to Zermatt, we were a bit anxious, but their willingness to answer all our questions put us at ease. The room itself was excellent—very new, well-equipped with all necessities, and the beds were comfortable, even the extra mattress provided, ensuring we all slept soundly. The breakfast also offered a good variety of choices, and the veal sausage was particularly delicious.

We stayed just one night in the room with an amazing view of the Matterhorn. The room was great and spacious, with all the basic facilities and a balcony. The bathroom skylight was a very cool feature. The hotel overall is nicely maintained by very polite and helpful staff. I loved the breakfast. Overall, my stay was great.

The breakfast was perfect for us. I normally have sweets, bread, and overnight oats/muesli. Maybe if you look for something huge like a typical hotel, it is not in the philosophy of this place, which we loved.

The place was amazing, being us climbers and hikers, we loved the interior design. The staff was super nice. We went to a Hut for an additional day, and they allowed us to leave our bags there. They also came and picked us up at the train station when we arrived.

Very charming and comfortable hotel. We liked everything about it. The room was lovely and comfortable and had a big balcony looking over towards the Matterhorn which was a delight. I phoned from the train station when we arrived and the hotel sent a taxi to pick us up. The breakfast was very nice and the staff very helpful.

There are some sharp edges on the furniture. If you are traveling with kids, it can be worrisome.

The pillows

A beautiful hotel, loved the climbers theme down to the mountain names on each room. Very clean, staff were lovely. Great breakfast. The family room was loved by our kids with the bunk bed set up. Spacious rooms with a view of the Matterhorn. Would highly recommend. It was further away from the main part if town but even our 4 and 7 year old had no problem walking between the train station and the hotel. Being on the other side of the river meant quieter and better Mountain View.
