A really beautiful location. Fabulous Alpine view from our room window.. An interesting drive to get there. Very friendly staff and lovely home cooked food. Room was nice, basic, had all weathers needed and spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was probably the best I've used in any hotel.

Room was quite cramped, private bathroom across the corridor was a bit awkward and needed to be locked, as we found some people using it in the middle of the night! (not the fault of the establishment).

Fabulous location, spectacular views from the terrace and our room, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful food and ambience. Breakfast was delicious.

- No normal European electric socket in the bedroom or bathroom. Normally there is at least one normal European electric socket in the bedroom (other hotels in Suisse, Italy or even Indonesia). - Bathroom not next to the room (across the hall) - Small room. - Specific for our stay: due to roadworks, the hotel was not accessible via the normal road. We did not get a warning in advance

The only thing we didn't like was the town itself-we didn't check how it looks before booking. Town is just 99% concrete, very tiny, narrow roads, impossible to find a green spot to go with the dog.

We haven’t noticed that private bathroom was outside the room. No fridge in the room.

The only thing we didn’t expect was that our private bathroom would be located separately, just across the corridor about two metres from our room. Although it was exclusively for our use and we had a key to access it, it still felt slightly inconvenient.

Great place to stay , view is amazing. Parking place is very small. Rooms would need some isolation to avoid hearing what your neighbours are talking about. Overall good value for money.

The bed was not very comfortable - a large gap between the two mattresses. I also expected an en suite bathroom but we had a shared one in the corridor.

Breakfast was served in a cafe over the road. It was lovely, but very heavy on bread! The view from the room was great and the hotel façade is very attractive. Dinner was delicious and the staff very welcoming.

There is a parking, but if you arrive on a busy evening there might not be any spots left. By asking inside, they will free up some space for the hotel guests, so don't hesitate to ask instead of driving around/parking far away like we did.

Very nice room, even had a coffee / tea in the room which is not common for Europe. Nice restaurant and very friendly staff. Everything was very clean.

As it is an old wooden building it creaks a lot as people move round but this is inevitable and no one stayed up late. Ear plugs were provided.

Staff were great. Lovely restaurant. Lovely that so many locals pop in and out so always a lovely atmosphere in the bar. Great outdoor terrace. Comfy beds. Kettle in room which was very nice. Very interesting village to explore.

It is an old wooden house, so be advised that the floors creak quite a bit and noise carries through the building. They do provide earplugs though for free

We really liked this traditional hotel in a cute mountain village. The views are amazing from the room and terrace. The room was small but clean and comfortable. They have a small parking for the car. Staff was very friendly.

I know it’s an old building and I know you provide earplugs but oh my goodness the floors and stairs creek! It’s been mentioned before that the walls are really thin and they are. We had a large dog staying in the room next door who barked when my partner did anything other than whisper. Luckily the dog didn’t bark once its owner returned to sleep. Again I understand that the bathrooms have been mentioned before and that building is old. I would have liked to have known when I booked that our private bathroom would be across the hall.

LOVED the location. We had to get the cable car up as the road was closed, fantastic experience. Staff also helped us when we were travelling as we couldn’t find out if Simplon Pass was open. They were able to find out and even told us that we had to get a car train. Really helpful staff. I loved hearing the goats with their bells in the morning from our room. The view from our room was breathtaking. The look of the building was everything we could have wished for, in our eyes, typically Swiss. Because it was a Sunday night we need to go over the road for our breakfast. We had a lovely meal on Sunday night in the restaurant, it was lovely being surrounded by so many French people. We also loved having a drink out on the terrace in the winter sun surrounded by by the glorious views all around us.

The staff was really friendly and helpful when asking for recommendations to go around. We felt directly welcome. The dinner is a bit pricy but if you are fine paying a bit more for the atmosphere and the quality it’s worth it. The breakfast deal is definitely recommended. I prefer to get a bit less choice (compared to a huge buffet) but have something local and delicious to start the day. The room was cozy and had a nice view.

Cute, fairly rustic, warm and comfortable interior with ever-changing views. The most welcoming staff, from the first moment I called up to book for dinner pre-arrival to the last coffee I enjoyed on the morning of my departure, they were amazing.
