We loved our stay at this peaceful B&B. The owner is very friendly and she cheerfully greeted us and made us feel at home. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large as well. Shower was great, and there were several restaurants in the village which is in walking distance on a quiet road. Location is very quiet so we slept well, and breakfast was nice too with homemade products.

    No kitchen facility for guest.

On a farm. Close to town. Breakfast was homemade and delicious

Nothing except maybe you might not be able to avoid some cow dung if you walk to it.

This B&B is on a working farm, but very close to the centre of Chateau d’Oex. Facilities were very clean and comfortable, and they provided secure storage for my bike. Breakfast was very generous, and included a few homemade products.

We chose to stay here on our hike through the Via Alpina, and would definitely recommend it. It is a working farm, so it's a rare opportunity to experience staying on a farm. If this is an issue for you, then this is not the place for you, however for those who love Nature, fresh yoghurt from the farm for breakfast, and want to spend a night or a few nights on a farm, this is perfect! We were surprised by the size of the room - it is very big with a big bathroom as well! Everything was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. The hostess is sooooo lovely and we enjoyed our chats with her in our broken French mixed with English. The farm is located very close to the main village, and you can easily walk to shops and restaurants. If you plan to walk at night bring a headlamp or torch, as the road is not well lit up. For breakfast we got to try some local specialties such as the milk and yoghurt from their farm, some cheese from the region (later we went to visit the cheese cellars of the L'etivaz cheese which I highly recommend to anyone hiking the Via Alpina, as the hike from L'etivaz to Rossiniere is short enough, so that you can plan in a cheese tour at Maison L'etivaz, before. Maison L'etivaz is on the trail, so you can start your hike right after the tour and cheese tasting) Thank you for a lovely stay!

This was an amazing place! The hostess was very kind and nice. The room was comfy and clean. It was on the top floor, and you could look out the window at a magnificent view. Breakfast was delicious. Peaceful and calm experience. Highly recommend!

Wifi could not be accessed from my room, but it was able to be picked up outside in the hall. This is a working farm, so expect cow mooing, even in the night! :)

Super B&B in a converted farmhouse in Chateau d’Oex, friendly owner, impeccably clean, nice locally-produced breakfast.

Location is about a 15-minute walk to the (charming) town center.

The most fabulous B&B on a farm! The room was clean and comfortable, and the family who runs the place is the best. The breakfast is truly amazing, all the products come from their own farm which was an extra special treat. You can even buy the jams they make! I would stay here again and again!

    It was perfect!

The window in the room was so lovely. The location was amazing. The host is an angel and the breakfast is incredibly special.

There were two flies in my room, but that is to be expected being so close to cows. An experience I truly loved.
