Smelt of smoke, not sure if it was people smoking outside coming in. The bed wasn't very comfortable but I was only staying one night so it was fine.

Good location. There were separate male and female toilet and showers that I liked. It was clean and tidy.

A cat must have made itself at home in the clean laundry at some point... my shower towel reeked of cat urine as soon as it became wet. Thankfully I brought my own. My room was right above the door that separated the restaurant/bar downstairs from the toilets... every time a bar guest went to the loo between 10pm and 2am and opened/closed the door, I woke up.

I stopped for one night during my ride around the Bodensee. for the price for a solo traveler, it was everything I expected and needed. The room was clean and comfortable, simple yet spacious enough to allow for movement. Big window to let in fresh air, and plenty of bathroom facilities across the hall. I also appreciated being able to park my bicycle in the interior corridor.

My only slight issues were the time I had to be back there for in the evening which was 10pm and the proximity of the main road.

There was no elevator. Beautiful staircase but if you're traveling with luggage something to keep in mind.

It was a private room with shared bath and shower. Private entrance. Free Wifi. The host was very friendly and had a map of the town to share which was very helpful.

I had to claim stairs up to the 3th floor, the bed was uncomfortable, hard. I had a quiet room, but no view, A Courtyard....the bath room was o.k. bit simple.

The staff was very friendly, helpful with the bag. The location is brilliant. An the river, surrounded by shops, restaurants .....the Federnhut is ideal for young people, back packer...

Mattress and bedding were not of the highest quality but still totally acceptable for a Back-Packers.

We had the room with two single beds and shared bathroom, which had a great view of the river frontage. Room was very well equipped and bathrooms were modern and very clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Location is very convenient and ideal to visit Schaffhausen. Lots of nice shops and restaurants / bars nearby. Last but not least, view on the Rhine. The hostel hosts are very friendly and welcoming.

Room view into courtyard wasn't great, but someone has to have the room at the back -- others may be better! Shared bathroom could do with a lock so you can shower in privacy (the toilet within does have one).

Decent sized single room and modern bathroom facilities, all very clean. Surprisingly quiet (few other residents since a small hostel)! Friendly and helpful owner. Excellent location a stone's throw from the Rhine and boat landing for services towards Konstanz/Kreuzlingen, and close to restaurants. Would recommend for a solo traveller.
