The staff is wonderful, beds supercomfy, the neighbourhood is brilliant - cafes etc right next door in a super relaxed atmosphere.

Location is great, easily accessible by public transport and also they will give you a Basel card which is a great advantage. Nice decoration too.

I didn’t like the atmosphere and never felt welcomed by their staff to be honest, especially on my check in when I had to wait for someone to finally come and greet me. I didn’t like the fact that they will give you the sheets and duvet cover and you have to make your bed by yourself and return the sheets on your check out to the reception. That’s housekeepers job not guests and we are paying for that too. The mattresses were not comfy to me and my back hurts. And the main biggest problem was the WIFI! It works when you’re in the communal area but as soon as you enter the room it goes away. I had to use my roaming the whole time.

The receptionist accepted the fault of keys (that did not open the room door several times)and admitted it happened before. But they did not fix it before us.

I reserved twin bed room, but I received 3 bunk beds room and french bed. The instruction to the room was poor and the key did not work after midnight when we want to re-enter room after facilities visit.

Showers were amazing, hot and powerful, I’d come back just for those, bed was comfy and locker is large enough to fit whole suitcase in. Staff were lovely. Laundry facilities available

Room got a bit stuffy and hot even with window open. I was on bottom bunk, glad in wasn’t up top - they are high! Wee bit hard too find location

The mattress cover was dirty There was no curtain on the bed There was very noisy jazz music at night

They gave out travel card which is very useful , the rest room was clean

It gives up a run down vibe , reception closes by 9, you can’t really ask anyone questions, the kitchen didn’t have a lot of free stuff or spices you literally had to buy everything to cook anything

Nice hostel, we stayed as a family in one of the 5-person dorms. Very nice location for visiting Basel zoo, and excellent breakfast. the location is cool built in an old factory. The shared facilities were clean and guests friendly.

Very poor air circulation . It was very hot inside which made it very hard to sleep

It’s convenient to get your own locker and key.And the staff is friendly and nice.

The staff were brilliant and helped us make the most of a whirlwind visit to Basel. We liked the refurbished industrial buildings, the cool vibe, the plants and the local bar

There was sweetcorn in the sink. The rooms are quite hot and the road is quite noisy. Despite this i slept well, the bed was comfortable.
