Location was spectacular. Unrestricted views of the Matterhorn from our Suite. Regina was an amazing host, very helpful, kind, bubbly, and warm! They even upgraded us for our honeymoon stay. Best hospitality we've had in Switzerland!!

Hard to get a table at breakfast as tables are reserved for people with half board. We didn’t have half board and didn’t have the option to be. So felt like a second class citizen at breakfast, especially when you had to wait for them to clear away so you could get a seat. The only hot option you can order at breakfast is eggs, they wouldn’t poach them. They provide water in the room on the first day but after that they don’t and tell you to drink tap water from a mixer tap which isn’t a healthy option. At this level and price of hotel I would expect at least a small bottle of water per day per person. They supplied bottles in the spa but these quickly ran out and were not replaced. The room didn’t have a fridge so we put our bought water outside on the balcony to cool as we were on a ski break, wouldn’t work in summer obviously. The room did not have coffee ☕️ or tea making facilities, again at this star rating and price point I would have expected that as I like a coffee in bed to wake up with. Our toilet seat broke one evening, looked like the plastic was old, it was replaced the next day, so that was great. Hard to expect that to be sorted immediately, however the owner said we would just need to sit on the porcelain that evening. Not great, I suppose just one of those things. Although the room was lovely it was very warm with no ability to alter the temperature. The guy on the desk said he understood and should control this by opening windows, which actually worked ok, obviously in the summer this wouldn’t work and there is no air conditioning.

Fantastic location for the chairlift. They have a lift that goes into the ski station, it felt quite special. Ski lockers, boot room all excellent and well positioned, couldn’t be better really. Spa was great, loads of facilities, 2 pools with jacuzzis, loads of seating, steam room, sauna, this was past expectations at this level of hotel and beats some 5 star facilities. Just be careful, as in Switzerland you might encounter a naked member of the same or opposite sex in the showers or other spa facilities, might not suit everyone. Lovely room, very large with sitting area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Swiss Alpine Berhof Hotel, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, the first-class service was evident. The staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious—each meal felt like a carefully curated culinary experience. The flavors, presentation, and variety were outstanding, making dining there a highlight of the visit. The views from the hotel were breathtaking. Surrounded by stunning alpine scenery, it was the perfect escape to relax and recharge. Whether gazing out from the room, the dining area, or the spa, every angle offered postcard-worthy landscapes. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, with attention to detail clearly a priority. The rooms, common areas, and facilities were all spotless and well-maintained. Speaking of the spa—it was simply amazing. The luxurious treatments, serene atmosphere, and exceptional amenities made it an oasis of tranquility. There was nothing we didn't like.

This hotel was such a cozy and delightful place to stay! Although our room was small, it offered a breathtaking direct view of the Matterhorn, making it truly special. The thoughtful touch of heart-shaped chocolates left in the room was a lovely gesture that made us feel welcomed. The lounge, swimming pool, and sauna were all fantastic, providing the perfect environment to relax and unwind. We enjoyed swimming and even had fun playing billiards. The restaurant and lounge had an incredibly creative and aesthetic vibe, adding to the charm of our stay. The staff were wonderful—always friendly and helpful in planning our day and recommending places to visit. A word of advice: if you plan to dine at the restaurant, make a reservation early as it gets fully booked quickly. The hotel also provided a convenient pick-up and drop-off service, which added to the overall ease of our experience. It was a truly memorable stay, and we’d love to return! This wasn’t our first choice, as we had to cancel our original booking due to a change in our itinerary. However, it turned out to be the best decision we could have made—fortunately!

I like everything, I admire that hotel. Nothing to dislike.

The Hotel was very cozy, beautiful decoration with many details. My room was very big and it has very nice balcony with an amazing view facing Matterhon mountain it has really incredible view. The breakfast was super tasty and many option to choose, super wonderful. Thx to the staff Sarrah as well she was looking after me every morning, she s so welcoming and kind and helpful. Thx to the Owner as well Mrs, Regaine and her husband were very friendly and warm welcoming. Definitely, We will go back again to the same hotel whenever we plan to go to Zermatt❤️

No air conditioning but windows opened so we were still comfortable. It was a VERY long walk from the train station up a lot of hills. So definitely take the little taxis that are by the station. The hotel does have a taxis to take you to and from the train station but if you arrive after 6:00pm you will need to pay for a general taxis. Still worth the stay. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Everything!! What a fantastic hotel!!!! Absolutely adored it. Very welcoming. Very clean. Excellent amenities. The hot tub, pool, and sauna were outstanding. We had a wonderful patio with views of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was fantastic. Beds were comfortable. Complimentary robes and slippers was a very nice touch. Really amazing place to stay!! Location was superb, it was at the end of town and right next to the Matterhorn station.

The hotel is at the base of the Matterhorn, with a fantastic view. It’s next to the Matterhorn Express Gondola station. A great pool & spa area. A fantastic patio area, bar & restaurant.
