small details, that did not change our overall excellent opinion of the Besso: our room 24 was not very big. Bed was big enough and comfortable but the pillows are HUGE!! which didn't suit us. The one thing they must address is the lighting in the ground floor restaurant. It is just awfully bright, in your face, and very annoying. You'd hope for candles and smooth indirect light, and unfortunately you feel like wearing a cap to block the glare. It really is a shame because this would radically transform the experience, and elegantly pair with the food. Please do something!!

Location and views are fantastic. Ski back to across the road from the hotel. Food was much better than expected. They cook very well, unexpectedly refined, even though the portions are a tad small (the parmigiana in particular). Excellent breakfast and the views from the restaurant are stunning. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Joaquim reparked our car while we were away and booked a fondue for us at the Alpina restaurant which is oldish but charming. Good practical ski-room

No lift and rooms were up 6 flights of stairs. Hard work carrying up your own heavy luggage and tiring on the legs after days of heavy skiing

<A truly exceptional stay> Our group of eight Canadian hikers stayed at Le Besso during our trek on the Walker's Haute Route, and our experience was truly outstanding. Six of us, including myself, stayed in the loft, which was clean, well-maintained, and had a romantic, unique, and lovely feel. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was great—it was one of the best we had on the entire hike. All of this would easily earn a 5-star rating, but it was the exceptional care from the staff that motivated me to write this review. First, when heavy rain disrupted our plans, the gentleman working in the cafe—likely the owner or manager—went above and beyond to help. He advised us on how to avoid dangerous sections of the trail, helped us arrange a taxi, and provided clear directions for public transportation. Second, when we asked if breakfast could be served a little earlier to help us stay on schedule, he listened to our request and accommodated us. Finally, and most importantly, I realized I had left my down jacket in the loft after we had already moved on. I contacted the staff, and they immediately agreed to look for it. After they found it, they promptly mailed it to my hostel in Geneva so I could receive it before leaving the country. Honestly, I didn't expect to see it again, so when the package arrived, I was incredibly touched. It was the perfect ending to my trip in Switzerland. Thank you, Le Besso, for your exceptional service and for adding such a wonderful memory to my trip. I highly recommend this place.

We got the loft apartment. It was amazing. So relaxing and plenty of space. Amazing views. Clean. Buffet breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful

The staff were so helpful, we were walking the Haute Alps trail so our times started very early and we could get in at any time of the day. We wanted to leave very early before breakfast is normally served but they could not help us enough. Really nice staff really helpful.

the noise insulation can be better, for example, I can hear someone knocking the door of next room, someone showering, and something was hitting the window outside during a windy night
