The kids’ bed, a pull out sofa, was pretty hard. Though they didn’t seem to notice. And from the photos, I thought we would have a balcony, but I don’t think the family room option has any balconies, more of a Booking.com error than the hotel’s.

WiFi was included, as was a lovely daily breakfast. Our server recognized us on day 2 and remembered our hot morning beverage orders, not a requirement, but it was very nice and the service was great all around.

The plug socket I used above the bed needed fixing in place but it still worked and was not dangerous - purely visual and a minor complaint.

Very friendly and polite staff, room (chalet apartment) was very clean and exceptionally easy to access. All the facilties were well kept and modern, and I enjoyed my time here a great deal.

I didn’t get much sleep - other guests were allowed to stay out on the restaurant terrace until midnight and they were making a lot of noise. Some then came to the room next door to us, took our chairs from our balcony and then proceeded to continue to make a noise on their balcony until 1.30 am! Hotel staff should have intervened. Had this not have happened I would have scored the hotel higher.

The room was ready early and so we were able to check in early which was great. Staff friendly. We could take our dog with us which was great.

Centrally located in the village and close to the mini supermarket. Stayed in an economy room in a small building at the back of the hotel which was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Room was tiny, but all we really needed. Furnishings were comfortable although old. Bed was comfortable.

We arrived late, and were greeted by a closed reception!! I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to get in to room. A very friendly gentleman in the kitchen helped us. He also informed us that the kitchen was closing soon and we needed to come to dinner quickly if we needed it. He helped us for breakfast the next morning too!

We loved having breakfast. Loved having wifi throughout our visit to Shilthorn too! The gentleman who served us dinner and breakfast was very friendly, helpful and kind!

Not really a hotel for off season. They were very happy to have alot of business from the cable car construction. In short they had Swiss customers a plenty from the workers. They were very happy to not have to deal with tourists. Much more interested in Swiss construction workers. Places like the hotel restaurant and bar were closed to all but the Swiss.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the station. The restaurant is excellent. The staff; mostly Portuguese, are very fun and friendly.

Great location. Nice staff. Murren is a beautiful little town in the Swiss Alps. Just a little walk from the train station and many great hikes. Took the funicular up to the Flower Trail on my first day and the views were outstanding!
