Just a suggestion to keep tea/coffee facilities in the room. Other than that, everything was great.

Clean and peaceful place. Comfortable beds, clean washrooms, hot water readily available. The location is excellent and central. Wonderful views of the mountains. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Very clean. Great location. Loved breakfast. We were able to store our bags while we hiked. Close to train station and a bus goes right by the hotel if you would rather ride than walk to/from train station. 8 minute walk.

It seems that most of the hotels are along the main street which has a fair amount of traffic for a small town this one included. However this also makes it easy to catch a bus out of town for a day excursion.

The hotel is approximately half mile from the train station. We walked but you can take the 230 bus which would drop you off right at the cross street where the hotel is. The hotel was clean and well maintained, the beds were comfortable and there is a balcony that allows for a good view and fresh air. Room 207 would have a nice view more towards mountains. We stayed in 208 and the view was nice from there as well. The restaurant serves excellent meals. The restaurant is closed on Mon/Tues so you would have to find another place for your evening meals. Breakfast was good with a variety of food. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bus stops right outside the hotel. You can easily take a day trip to the town of Adelboden (bus 230) There is a pass that you can get from the hotel and then riding the bus is free. You can also take the train, but it didn't make sense to do so to this town as the ride as free and all the folks on the train had to eventually transfer to the bus anyway.

The restaurant was closed on 2 of the 4 nights we stayed ( Monday and Tuesday) but not a problem as there were other places within walking distance.

Wonderful small Swiss style hotel! Located 5 minutes walk from the train station. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the Dündenhorn mountain! Amazing view! The room is clean and cozy. The staff is very friendly.

Lovely friendly family hotel in quiet location just off the centre of the village. Excellent food and lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble. All that is best in the Swiss tradition of homeliness ("gemutlich"). The room was spacious and comfortable, with very well equipped bathroom and a great view up the valley. And it was very sensibly priced. I have holidayed a lot in the Lauterbrunnen Valley and this is much quieter and less spoilt. Some great walks around the valley. Oeschinnensee is spectacular but can get a bit busy. But Sunnbuel and Gasterntal are still very unspoilt - we were there in June and the mountain flowers were unbelievable - with great views as well. A lovely restful stay.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and cozy. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. The location of the hotel is ideal if you plan to visit Oeschinensee and Blausee. The village is also close to other popular areas such as Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. Very helpful and friendly staff. They are flexible and willing to help you be as comfortable as possible. The hotel has a breakfast service in the morning with enough options to have a fulfulling breakfast. The only thing that they may consider is to separate the cheese properly from the cold meats due to allergies. But other than that, we liked the breakfast. You can boil your own eggs, have a fruit salad with different kind of fruits, orange juice, croissant and many more. Bonuspoint for the owner’s cute dog :)

The decoration is outdated.

Well located in the center of Kandersteg, close to the train station, Oeschinensee Gondola,...the room was really big and well equipped, with good views on the mountains from the balcony. The staff is helpful. Good breakfast. The big plus is the sauna :)

We only had 1 night stay in this hotel, but we really enjoyed our time spent there. Our room was very clean, spacious, having also a terrace with amazing mountain view. The breakfast was simple, but good. The staff was very polite and accommodating.

All good. A sofa would be nice rather than chairs.

Great location. Bus 230 from station takes you there (2 stops). Room was very clean. Buffet breakfast had a good variety of food. They were able to provide soy milk due to my dairy allergy which I notified a few days ahead. It has a small elevator. They can give you a tourist card that gives free bus and train travel and discounts on gondolas. Restaurant meals are good and reasonable prices compared to others around.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms in a beautiful building with amazing view to the surrounding mountains. Uncomplicated booking, check-in and check-out. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Hope to stay there again!

No evening meal on the night we arrived, but plenty of options in the town. Menu selection on second night quite limited.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff and a good sized room with lovely views of the mountains and town. Good fast lift to the top floors.
