No lift. Toilets have a strange door that do not give enough privacy and the toilet erea is to small.

Better than it looks and the trains are not a bother. Free parking wich is a big plus. Good mattresses.

The property is literally directly at the railway station direction Bern. Easy to commute. Easy car parking outside the property. This is an OK place to overnight. No staff, everything is do it yourself.

Beds crammed into an alcove with access only on one side so that I had to climb over my wife to get out of bed. No bedside lockers, no cups or glasses paper, plastic or otherwise we stayed on a Thursday night when the only restaurant in the area was closed ruhetag. Nothing else within 5 miles.

One has to get used to the 24/7 concept (no staff around). There was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the entrance door to my room. Had it been forgotten by the cleaning staff? Otherwise, the roomed seemed clean. The “metal” furniture is unusual and not so user friendly. Chair wasn’t comfortable and the metal (rusted) desk plate makes working “cold”. I think the price is highly exaggerated (CHF 155.10 with genius discount) for a room of that small dimension with no balcony in a place like Schüpfen, especially if there is no staff, no breakfast included and lack of comfort.

Hotel is next to train station, one can even use the park and rail parking and there is an AVEC convenience store very close to buy fresh bread in the morning and all essentiels. It is fairly quiet (outside in the countryside) and the BLS train takes one to Bern within 20-30min. I appreciated the extra towels. Not quite sure why I had no access to the lounge room-would have liked to work there with my laptop instead of having to use the cold, rusty and small metal desk in the room. The bed was comfortable despite the cold, metal bed frame.

The rooms looks like a prison sell - everything is metal - the table, the chair, even the bed. The property is extremely far from the centre of Bern (~30 minutes car ride). The bedsheets were very very dirty with brown spots all over them. The floor hasn’t been cleaned in years. Under the bed - disgusting. When we arrived we couldn’t take our cards for the room from the machine as there were no cards inside it. We had to wait for somebody to see through the cameras that we were struggling and they remotely opened the door (is this property even safe then???). There is a lot of noise from the street. No place to put your things. The room is quite small and extremely hot in August as there is no AC. No shower gel.

Strange paintings on walls, dirty floor, dirty table and chair, damp towels, strange furniture, and irregular shape of the "room". We arrived late at night. I was so shocked opening the door and could not fall into asleep, and fled once my son woke up next morning to make up sleep in another hotel. We lost one day of our previous vocation days in Europe as a result :(((
