Reviews of Capsule Hotel - Lucerne Old Town

Everything is perfect!

I’ve stayed in a few of these type of capsule hotels/hostels across Europe and this was by far the best. Secure lockers, plenty toilets/showers that were cleaned regularly and very nicely decorated. Capsule was comfortable and couldn’t hear anything out with. WiFi worked and although it’s self check in - there was someone about if you had any issues. 10 mins from train station and 5 minute walk to the old town and lake.

No complaints.

I didn’t like having to download an app to access my room, I would have liked the option for a physical card

The bed was super comfy, temperature perfect. Storage lockers were ideal!

Would’ve been lovely if there were access to laundry facilities

Location and affordability

Too dark in common areas and the door to the capsule was far too loud when people went in and out. It would be super helpful if it had a soft/quiet close. It woke me up each time people went in and out.

Loved the whole concept. Bathrooms are great and all facilities are good. Very clean. We will definitely recommend it.

Lockers were a bit of a pain. It would be great for the new places to have a bigger luggage spot next to your capsule. Also a fridge available would be great but we were well catered for but hated having to harass the staff. Also, some mugs or cups for a cup of tea or coffee as many b people travel with their own. I was next to the door, and it was really noisy with people coming in and out. The other two had silence and were very happy.

So many to like, can’t list them all. The best hostel for me ever, hands down.

Room door is too heavy, when people enter and exit the door, the door slams very loud, it happens till late at night and early morning. I also do not like male and female toilets at the same floor and so close to each other.

Honestly one of the best sleeps I had in hostels. It's like your private little room. The bathrooms were in excellent conditions.

I think the air con in the capsules can definitely be improved.

Everything! Great location 10m walk from the train station. Backpacker friendly environment with private and secure sleeping, best both worlds. All staff were great, stayed an extra night based on 1st night experience!

Signage on door to property was small and I walked past it trying to find the entrance.

The Capsule Hotel was a clean and good value place to stay in Lucerne. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious — I never had to wait for a toilet or shower. The location of the hotel is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride from the train station.

It was somewhat hard to figure out how to use the key code and/or app for the doors, but once I understood it, it was fine. It was also a bit hard to figure out how to lock/unlock the lockers but two other guests explained it to me. While I was in Lucerne, it was pouring with rain, and my clothes got completely soaked while out. It was difficult to hang my wet clothes to dry because there wasn’t much reserved space for me to use except inside my capsule or in a locker.

Great big clean bathrooms.

Too expensive for that kind of hostels. I wish there was a kind of a place to store your check in bag at least. Keeping it outside is not comfortable.

Great location, very nice and clean bathrooms. Great common spaces. Good value.

Would be improved with some free tea/coffee facilities. Also often ran out of floor mats. Limited space to hang towels/swimmers. Sleeping capsules were very hot at night.

Tee hostel was super clean, good & large storage for luggage. The capsule was super cozy (my first time trying), good space for phone but also hang clothes or towel on the wall. Even though it didn’t have a proper kitchen you could still use kettle and microwave and also their fridge to store your food.
