Breakfast: For that price, I would have expected ham, salami and salmon, instead of cheap cold cuts. Not clear, what is the purpose of a password-protected iPad in the room.

One needs to pay extra for parking (this is not a surprise as they state it clearly on the booking confirmation). My room was located just above the open area of the restaurant and there was a gathering going on, which was a bit noisy.

It was not easy for non-german speaker to understand that the breakfast was a combination of buffet and order. On the first day, we didn't know that eggs can be ordered without additional charges.

The room was clean, new, and comfortably designed. It is located near Coop and a station. The price is very reasonable for this great property.

I reserved a room at Caspar (a beautiful renewd building, full of cachet), where I had stayed previouly... and to my surprised I was sent to another building, recently built. it was nice, but not what I expected. Some of the staff didnt spoke english nor french...

This is not a hotel, just rooms in a building separated from the actual hotel. There is a short walk, but no phone in the room to contact reception, so for any need you have to walk to the main building. There is no reception per se, but a corner in the bar counter, which is unattended most of the time. One morning at 9 am I had to wait for more than 30 minutes for someone to show up to assist with a taxi and I had to go to work; there was only a non-English speaking waitress and the receptionist was nowhere to be found. They appeared after 30 minutes saying they had work to do in the office. There is no air conditioning (really? In 2024??) and the heat was so strong I had to sleep with my windows open… which led to 4 mostly sleepless nights due to people gathering underneath my window, talking, laughing and smoking (smoke came directly into my room) and worst of all, bells from 2 or 3 nearby churches which would sound loudly every hour, 24 hours, then shorter every half hour and every 15 minutes. Impossible to rest. Toiletries less than bare minimum basics. Bad experience overall, although some of the staff (all young students I suppose) were nice, although helpless.

The only thing to like is the nice restaurant and the decent-sized room.

Interesting shower & bathroom arrangements for exhibitionists. Restaurant most disappointing. Small portions for evening meal. Burger small and very, very ordinary. Portion of French fries minute. Breakfast was the worst hotel meal I’ve had in some time. Just one sort of bread, small portions of cereal, no fruit (either tinned or fresh), no eggs of any description. Drinking water available but only on request. All that was left was cheese and processed meat. Grim. Not the sort of food to be expected from a hotel of this category.

Room modern, tastefully decorated. Bed v comfortable.
