We had a bit of an issue at the beginning as our accommodation wasn’t cleaned but the hosts resolved it quickly and was very apologetic about it. You can’t really go for a walk around so it’s a perfect staying you have a car and want to stay onsite in a cosy cabin with a view.

The host was very nice and helpful. The accommodation is super cosy!

Additionally, a scenic bicycle tour through the Muggio valley, with the option to trek up Monte San Giorgio, provided ample opportunities for exploration and discovery, all conveniently accessible right from the Chalet. Overall, the Magic Chalet offers not just accommodation but a gateway to unforgettable experiences in one of most picturesque regions of the Ticino. Whether you seek relaxation, adventure, or simply a connection with nature, this charming retreat caters to all, leaving guests with memories to cherish for years to come.

The kitchen is very basic, so if you intend to stay long and want to cook often that might be a point to consider. For me it was absolutely no problem as I only used the fridge and microwave.

The check-in process is super convenient and easy, the host explained everything very well. The CHALET is on the host's property, it's setting is wonderful in a big garden at the hillside with great views, big trees and nice lawns. The Chalet itself is cute and comfortable and clean, the bathroom renovated and the bed comfortable. It is absolutely quiet there. The entire place Villa dei Leoni is gorgeous.

Pool right under the huge windows (not included in the accommodation). First afternoon: the children were swimming/screaming in it. Second afternoon: a couple who might would appreciate be alone... not feeling "total privacy".

Amazonu view, lovely villa near Como Lake. Simone was very helpful. Super easy check-in and check out. Private safe parking, gorgeus terasses - one quiet in shadows, second one in the sun with a view. Quiet and calm at night. Sofa in front of fireplace ❤️ Totaly recommente and love it.

-no bottles of water as a welcome drink. The accommodation is on a hill and if you are not familiar with the place, takes time to navigate yourself in the surroundings. -only one set of towels even though the rsv was for two people - mosquito nets would be needed since you are in the nature. -fridge was making noise

Having a few on the swimming pool was a bit misleading since this pool was the hosts privat pool and not ment for us guests. The room we stayed in could not be made dark enough with curtains which wasn't great in the morning.

The host was/is friendly and helpful. Everything is available in the chalet.

The property is part of a bigger complex where the host lives, so you need to take into account that it is not a fully fledged hotel.

It offers good privacy, the location is curated has a nice view over the valley.

Unfortunately it wasn't very clean. Breadcrumbs, spiderwebs, dirty ashtray, hair in shower etc... It doesn't have a kitchen nor kitchenette, just a fridge, gas oven and a sink in a separate room. Difficult to even brew a cuppa. No bedside table or lights. Windows can't be opened over night because you can't block them and they are doors, so it gets quite sticky. Interior dated. Pity - with a little refurbishment this would be a 10 points location!

With a little love and creativity this could be a real gem! Lovely location and nice Ticino style houses.

The only thing is that there are no proper curtains. This wasn’t a big issue but would be nice to add to have some more privacy.

We really enjoyed our stay at the chalet (one night). The most impressive was the amazing view. The chalet itself was very cosy and quite. Kitchen was simple but had everything. We felt very welcomed with a book giving more information on the host and some recommendations in the area. Overall, we had a great stay and would love to come again!

We had a major problem with the bed. There were slates missing from under the bed (5 on one side!). Making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. We complained and they didn't want to fix it. They tried to fix the situation by leaving a bottle of wine at our doorstep (which we left behind). Not once did we speak or see anyone, they couldn't be bothered even checking or apologise. We complained to booking.com and after we made the complaint, the owners complained to booking that we damaged the slates of the bed. We are stupified by this reaction. They refused to give us a partial refund. Furthermore, the plugs are not updated and only a few places can you plug in your electronics. There is no kettle for tea making. They only say they provide amenities but they actually just provide a bottle of shampoo and no soap. The place is dirty (floor not cleaned properly/ shower curtain moldy and not washed between users). The heating only works from the bedroom so the living room was very cold. They don't provide wood for the fireplace, you have to buy it yourself.

Apart from the wooden cottage feel, there is nothing to like about this place

Well generally there was nothing not to like, one can say that maybe the furniture is a bit outdated but that wouldn't be fair if you take into consideration the value for money you get here, so I would say we liked everything.

Oh wow what a nice location, on a hill with a nice view. Since we were taking part in Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, this place was a great location as it was just across the border from Cernobbio. You get a living room and a sleeping room, small kitchenette (enough to do cooking), so everything you need for a short stay and most importantly private parking. Everything is well organised, keys are waiting for you in a locker outside of the gates so everything is done smoothly. Great value for money (end of the May)

Afterwards, it turned out into a huge disappointment after a first positive impression. It always may happen that one forgets an item in the room after departure. Normally, the cleaning staff picks up the forgotten items or clothes and hands it out to the landlord or to the management just in the case, the guest reclaims few days after the departure to have forgotten something. In this case, it's better you control twice all your belongings when you pack your baggage. You'll never get it back.
