How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We visited in the summer and during a heat wave, the lack of Airco in the rooms made our short stay a bit uncomfortable.
The location is amazing with a spectacular view of the mountains. Also very well positioned for great attractions in the area (such as Glacier 3000). Very good breakfast choice and the dinner buffet was also very good and affordable.

Bathroom supplies like basic shampoo or hand gel weren’t available. Under the beds it was full of dust and dirty.
The location is amazing, with beautiful views and scenery.

The mattress was extremely bad, we had pain in the brest. feathers of the bed sticks out.

The garage costs an extra CHF 15 a day. Otherwise there are some outside spaces but they were all taken when we visited. There was no fridge and no kettle in the room. The breakfast was a let down; No croissants! No buns, rolls or pastries. No cooked food apart from boiled eggs but you must boil the egg yourself. No cooked sausages, no cooked bacon, etc. If you don't need an early breakfast, I would recommend you go across the road to the cafe instead.
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Covered garage for the car. Clean room. Warm room. Great view.

The facilities were indeed quite old.
The hotel staffs were really very nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good quality food, ham cheese, bread and caffee were all surprising good. Wonderful location.

At the moment of booking a room for 5 people, the Booking system suggested taking two rooms for 4 people and separately for one. In fact, we were put in a room with five beds. I didn't understand why it was so, because we were 4 people and one person had to cancel the trip. Also it would be good if the room had a kettle and a small fridge, which is acceptable for three-star hotels, as this hotel positions itself.
I liked the breakfasts included in the room rate and the reasonably priced dinner. Also the location of the hotel right in the city centre was great.

Poor soundproofing. Shower unpredictable, going from good temperature to boiling hot then to cold without warning.

The lady at the reception was not helpful at all when complaining about the noise (occurred during the night and early in the morning from the room opposite to ours). She said that she could not do anything so we had to take action ourselves. Also one of the towels was not clean and they had put 2 sets of towels in a room reserved for 3 people.
The room was big and with a very nice view. The hotel was next to the train and bus stops.

Pillows are pretty non existent, super flat or lumpy. Best bring your own! Bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you’re fussy as there is only an all in one option.
Get the half board option when you book as the dinner buffet is good value. For us that night we had roast beef with potato wedges, peas and corn, creamed vegetables and peppercorn gravy, plus a Raclette Station, salads and desserts. Service is excellent at reception and in the restaurant, very friendly. The hotel is 3 stars which is appropriate. Furnishing is pretty dated (it is „Classic“ from the 1970s) television is very small but fine for the room which is also not large. We had a 5 bedded room even though we booked for 4 people. Room looked clean!
