How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing. Had a fabulous time and cannot recommend the staff and place highly enough.
Staff all very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The room had a great view of the mountain. The food was great, really liked the buffet menu and the charging method (by weight of plate). Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

Parking slots are very narrow, parking ticket needs to be paid every time when you get out of the garage. Extra charge for cleaning kitchen at the end of the stay.
Great location- 2 mins from Rigi railway station and harbor. 5 mins walk to public beach. Convenient starting point for hiking. Delicious breakfast. Very comfortable beds for good night sleep. Big balcony with a nice view of the mountains. In overall it was very pleasant stay.

We felt it was cheeky to ask for 80 CHF to use the in apartment kitchen facilities as we had booked an apartment so we could use the facilities. It was a shame the rooftop bar closed at 9pm and took the cushions away at that point.
We thought the apartment was beautiful and well located. The bedding was comfortable and the rooms spacious, with a lovely veranda area. We also loved the rooftop bar. When we asked the staff for help (eg with an item left behind by mistake) it was quickly responded to and very helpful.

The car park was very tight for an above average sized car. The hotel was lovely in the restaurant and entrance area but the rooms were very basic.

Great hotel, clean, big rooms, superb breakfast. The view from terasse is great, with a 360° panorama. For sure we will choose the same hotel for our next stay in Vitznau.

There was an extra charge for using the kitchen which wasn’t clear when booking.

Unfortunately, the check-in app did not work perfectly, I could not get the room key via the app. The good thing is that the reception was available on phone and managed to resolve the issue smoothly.
I like the whole concept of the hotel, the theme built around morning and morning rituals. The staff is very helpful. I like the self-checkin idea.

Seemed like a brand new buildiing. The double room was spacious and they actually had a real double bed (not just twin beds placed next to each other, like it's usual in Switzerland). The large window across the whole wall offered a panoramic view of the lake, the mountains and the village. The location is amazing, just next to the lake and the Rigi train. Parking with decently sized parking spaces. The breakfast was great and had sufficient vegan options. The check-in via a machine is also great.

The hotel exceeded our expectation. It was very clean, the breakfast was delicious with a variety of freshly baked products and fresh fruit. The room was lovely and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the Swiss fondue at the restaurant and that was the best fondue we ever had!

Modern comfortable hotel. I enjoyed the design, the quality of rooms, service and breakfast, as well as the location. Train to Rigi and boat to Luzern right in front of the hotel.

For people who not friendly with computers checking into a hotel with a machine at the reception can be a bit tricky.
New hotel with good facilities and perfect location. I will recommend it to all who want to stay in Vitznau.
