How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Basic hotel but clean. Room good size for a single room. Breakfast was good. Location excellent for buses and trains.

The hotel is very basic and very old. But it was very clean. The bathroom is also very basic.
In the hotel there is also a restaurant. This is easy when you haven't much time. I think many people stay in the hotel just for one night because the position of the hotel is very strategic. A lot of people pass here when they drive to Italy. You can eat breakfast with the accomodation. You can also park your car there.

The bath/shower is quite hard to operate. For a family, we would prefer to have twins beds instead of bunk beds if available. Room size is not spacious but as we just stay 1 night, it is OK.
Staff are helpful Pizzeria provides delicious food. Just perfect for us to stay overnight in the mid-way of our trip.

Easy to locate, parked motorcycle 🏍 outside property. Hotel is old so modern touches are missing, a / c etc. Shared toilet and shower 🚿 down corridor but sink in room. Slept well in my 2 nights stay. Breakfast was fine but they had another room number on table. Waitress soon sorted it, easy chk out.

need renovation but the price may raise up then
As others mention, need renovation but the price was adequate so we were satisfied. The price was very reasonable like in Swiss, the parking was 4th the hotel free, we didn't expect deluxe so it was not.

Opposite a 24/7 concrete factory, with plenty of hard working and partying workers, this is not a peaceful nor pretty, nor pleasant location and the hotel itself could really do with upgrading
The food in the restaurant was good. The breakfast was adequate. The room was clean and basic.

It said there would be parking at the hotel, which is a reason I chose it since I was making a road trip, but they had a party that night until 5am and the guests took up all the parking space. It would have been nice if they communicated this and found hs another free option. As we were told there was a paid parking a 10min walk away.
It was a good location for a halfway stop in the road trip from the Netherlands to Italy. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was simple but good.

We made a last minute booking and there was some hassle with our booking. The receptionist didn't speak english. However, the situation was quite quickly solved.
Decent breakfast. The building was old and a bit rustic but still very clean. Nice view to the mountains. Restaurant at the hotel served very good pizza. Polite staff.

First impression on arrival isn’t great but then you realise that although it’s a really old hotels it’s immaculately clean.
Immaculately clean and this is the most important. Excellent Pizzeria serving good food. Friendly staff. Good location just by the exit of the south side of the tunnel.

We were there in snow, and my parents room was cold and the curtains didn't close. They were not very comfortable as a result. The staff were hit and miss. Some were friendly, others not so much.
Good value stay on the way from Italy to the UK. Just off the motorway. Quite an old fashioned hotel but comfortable. Could definitely do with an upgrade internally, but then it would probably be more expensive! Good restaurant and bar below the hotel serving nice food. There is also parking and they allowed dogs.

The shared bathroom shower was dangerously sloppy.The shower head was aimed outside of the tray onto extremely slippy tiles,I slipped and had a nasty fall hitting my head and spraining my neck ..Spray needs adjusting and tiles need a non slip mat over them
Room was spacious and reasonably quiet given it overlooked the road .

There is a shared bathroom and shower room on each floor but we did know that so no surprise for us.
The area is very expensive and this is easily the best value hotel in the area.

Shared bathroom was along the hallway and door kept slamming when in use by other occupants
Arrived quite late after experiencing long delays getting through tunnel. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant is excellent and great customer service

Bit basic with the extra touches but value for $$ was good. Also shower area needed some slip proofing - could be very dangerous being a wet area.
