Elevators were slow. Ended up using the stairs many a times.

Lovely property inside and out. Al fresco breakfast v nice. V nice room Reasonable Prices for B+B and for dinner. The food was excellent- really nice. Pool and cabana area a nice bonus!

Gorgeous room, BIG, balcony was absolutely lovely to eat breakfast on. Views wonderful. Central location. I was incredibly impressed by the quality of the hair dryer and the fact that they had a diffuser attachment for us curly girls! First hotel I've ever stayed at that had a diffuser available. It made me so happy. This hotel was our favorite stay in Switzerland (8 cities).

Hotel des Balances was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were very helpful, the rooms luxurious and we had a lovely view from our room. The hotel is very centrally located to everything in Lucerne.

The hotel's location on the riverbank in thr old town is unbeatable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Dining and service on the riverbank patio was a wonderful experience. But the best was relaxing on our balcony overlooking the river... bliss.

The location was fine. The balconies were somewhat small but the view of the lake was great.

The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The beds were are also very comfortable. We also enjoyed the La Occitaine bath products.

It's in a good location in the old part. However, if you are driving, it’s hard to get near the hotel, as the map does not take you there. Overall, it was a good stay.

Nothing - but having a balcony or not makes a huge difference! Ask for one!

My third time staying there! There is no better location in Lucern! The restaurant has a Michelin star! We needed up eating there all three nights - also because Lucern has been very busy and if you don’t book it is hard to find place for dinner. The view over the lake and chapel bridge is the best. Close to weekend market and all the shopping street, the more interesting part of the city. 10mins walk to the Lucern train station. They have water and ice machine at every level- super convenient!

We asked for a quiet room but were placed in one next to an elevator, ice machine, and the housekeeping closets which made for a noisier stay than preferred. Faucet placement in the bathtub was awkward (midway down a long side) so when showering you hit your knees on the faucet rather than it being on one of the short ends of the tub.

Location is great, very close to main sights and easily walkable. Rooms are very pretty and overall comfortable, clean, and staff is friendly. Hotel is 5-8 min walk from the train station and easily accessible

Beautiful hotel and we booked a suite room with balcony facing the water and the church. Beautiful view from balcony. We had lunch at hotel restaurant…it was very good. We have a good 6 days stay. Will come back again .
