We stayed 2 nights when, during the days, the max temperature was 32 degrees C, without AC ( room 301). It was not possible to feel good in that conditions Our badluck.

Basel is relatively expensive.

We had small rooms, however that was expected and as described. Location of hotel was perfect before our river cruise as it is on the river and within walking distance or free tram ride. Basel Card enabled free bus and tram rides from airport and to the river cruise.

Breakfast underwhelming, noisy every evening, no air conditioning although a fan was provided.

Lovely location in the middle of the old town. Everything is nearby. Comfortable room with huge bathroom. There was a lively atmosphere directly outside the hotel on the riverside in the evenings due to the nightly music on the river stage. The music finished around 10pm but it was noisy until 11 or 12pm due to people at the bars and restaurants. From our room we enjoyed watching everyone float past on the river with their wickelfisch of an evening!

The mattress was too soft for me and could have used 2 pillows per guest as the pillows are flat.

Location location location. Very central and on the water. Everything you want to see and do within walking distance. The food was exceptional. The front desk was very helpful in securing taxi and tourist information. Even a free transit pass for within the area along with 50%discounts to many museums and attractions They know how to cater to tourists here!

Room had no A/C. Only a fan

Great hotel. When you stay herr you revieve a Basel card. You can use that can everywhere when you use tram ot bus. Also discoiunt when going to museum. Also you have 10% off when eating at the hotel restaurant.

Pillow - only 1 supplied and so soft I had to roll it into a ball. Noise - with window open quite a bit of street noise. Fan instead of a/c. Bathroom might be tricky if you are sharing with someone. Lots of street people on main road by hotel.

Great location - very easy to get around on public transport (for free). Very nice room - bathroom looks weird on hotel photos but was fine. Lovely bread - not as much selection for breakfast as other hotels but everything very fresh and tasty. Music concert taking place on river and lots of restaurants - very lively but maybe noisy if you are on river side of building.

The room was a good size but lacked basic facilities such as wardrobe, fridge, hallway mirror and tea/coffee facility would have been nice. Location difficult to access by car due to nearby building work and road direction changes.

The breakfast space on the ground floor may be a bit small for the number of rooms. Saturday and Sunday, there is no one at the reception. It was inconvenient.

Right on the bank of the river with a great restaurant. The room is a good size and has comfortable facilities. A small-scale hotel like this in the middle of the city is a really great deal.

We had a room at the back (opposite side to the river), which overlooked a street with various bars opposite. Thought this might get noisy at night, but didn't really notice it.

Great location by the river, with a terrace for beers/dining. Easy 10 minute trip from station, by tram - stop was almost outside the hotel, just couple of minutes walk away. Good evening meal at the restaurant. Nice walk over the bridge to the old town/shopping area. The multi-coloured LED lighting in the shower was something different!

Pillows - only one each but pretty flat We could work the shower with the rain shower head so used the attachment which was good anyway. Could have done with a bit more cleaning around / under the beds but didn’t put us off. Towels weren’t very thick but adequate

Great location right by the river Comfortable room with fan and blackout curtains. Super double glazing meant we don’t hear anything from street below. Near bars and restaurants. Tram and bus stop on doorstep. Breakfast was good with several cereals, breads, meat, cheese and spreads / jams. Staff were friendly and helpful
