Staying at this Sandra and David's house was an unforgettable experience! Our host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive to every detail making us feel right at home from the very first moment. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. It’s rare to find someone who truly goes above and beyond, but our host absolutely did.Our stay with Sandra, David, and little Louis was far more than just accommodation ,it felt like being welcomed into a family. Each evening, we found ourselves looking forward to the warm, heartfelt conversations that made us feel truly connected. This magical village, perched above Lake Thun, offers some of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. Surrounded by majestic mountains and lush green landscapes, it’s a peaceful paradise that feels like a hidden gem in the Swiss Alps. Whether you're hiking, relaxing, or simply taking in the scenery, Beatenberg is truly a place that must be seen at least once in a lifetime. I left a piece of my heart there, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended both the host and this incredible location deserve more than five stars!

It would be good to have a microwave, a mirror and fan when the temperature is more than 20 degrees. A very small addition but will go a long way for the tourists making the accommodation a perfect one.

Check in is a little late, only 5pm. We got up super early to fly to Switzerland. Would have been nice to go straight to the accommodation to settle in with the kids

It had everything we need. The little extras went a long way. Sandra left out shampoo and soap aswell as some essentials in the kitchen. The view was absolutely beautiful, we loved every minute

A dream mini vacation. It snowed the night before we arrived and then the whole vacation was clear. The view is gorgeous and we couldn't get enough of looking at those mountains. Interlaken was under the fog but we were up there and had only sun. Sandra, David and their son Luis made us feel at home and made sure Santa Claus found us and brought us presents. I've been to many places but this one is at the top of the list as the most beautiful.

First of all Beatenberg is a very nice area with amazing mountain view directly from your windows and terrace. It's really breathless both when the sky is clean and you see the mountain peaks (including the famous Jungfrau!) and when the clouds surround you and you see anything further than 5 meters away! :) Not to make others worried: it happens only once during our stay and was gone very quickly :) The apartment is super clean, light, cosy and spacy enough! The kitchen is fully equipped and even more than 'fully'. We could not find anything we missed and even the tools/tableware for fondu is there for 'fondu' funs. Even though it's an apartment on the ground floor and the host lives just above you, it makes you feel like you live in your own house on the mountain hill and your have your own entry door and nice terrasse with table and chairs. There are no real supermarkets nearby but there is a local shop just 300 meters away from the apartment where you can always buy local eggs, butter and cheese! The bus stop is located less than 2 min walk from the apartment and the bus to Interlaken pass at least once per hour, so in case you prefer to leave the car and travel by public transport - it's very simple and Interlaken station is around 10 min away by car/bus if no traffic. The host deserves really special award. So friendly but very respectful at the same time. Their love for their home and garden is just amazing and their life concept is probably the most appropriate. Sandra, David, you made our stay unforgettable and will surely return once we have an occasion! Thank you for everything!! :)

An absolutely incredible and perfect stay in wonderful Beatenberg.It was fantastic to wake up to an incredible view every morning. Kitchen 10/10 it was extremly clean equipped with all the amenities you could.The bus stop is only 150 meters away and you reach Interlaken in just 20 minutes with a stunning view.Also i would like to mention very very friendly hosts Sandra and David,amazing people.Our favorite stay all trip 6 days passed very quickly, we will definitely come to Sandra's house again on our next holiday and stay longer.This house deserved more than 10 points

The apartment is extremely clean and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we've ever stayed at. Sandra and family were very welcoming and shared lots of local information. The view from the apartment is second to none and the local green areas are alive with wildlife. The apartment sits at the start of one of the many mountain trails in the area.

The location and the views were amazing! So were the hosts. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. Pretty quick response to questions. One of the best properties we have been to in Switzerland. It’s a quick 10-12 min car ride away from interlaken. The surroundings are peaceful.

The apartment has everything a family needs to stay for 4-5 days. At first, we thought it might be too long to do a shuttle everyday to interlaken, but it turns out to be very relaxing as the view on the way worths a million. It was a pleasant stay here and in Beatenberg. Sandra and David, the host, were ready to assist.

Beatenberg turned out to be smaller and quieter than we expected. Restaurant and shopping offering are very limited. As we were traveling by car for us this was fine.

Perfect accomodation and location for us as we were looking for a quiet little appartment like the Känzeli - Exceptional mountain view from living room and bed room - Did feel very welcome. Met host in person. Host took time and did extra effort to help and answer questions several times. Thank you very much Sandra and family :-). - Very good wifi and TV offering - Outside parking was good and free. - People are very kind in the town. There is a great tea room, big play ground and swimming facility very close to the appartment.

This unit is quite up a hill from the bus stop so be prepared to hike!

Really loved the location- you are properly up the mountains and can live like a local! I loved it here. Our host was warm and accommodating- you really knew she wanted your stay to be exceptional and that she is proud of the space. Please note the home is a connected apartment to the host and her family. Please note that if you use the washer/dryer it's outside of the unit. The bus stop is down the hill from the home, so it's easy to get into town- just note that the bus comes about 2x or 1x an hour depending on time of day, so you'll need to do some planning. When you wake up, you just have a magnificent view!

The location is a bit far from Interlaken town as it is located above the hill.

True to its name, the view is really beautiful, above the hill and overseeing the mountains. On the way down to town on the bus, we can see the lake from aerial view. The host Sandra is very friendly and she gave us vegetable from her garden too.

We really enjoyed our stay. Indeed a dream view from the apartment! Sandra and David are amazing hosts, and were always there to answer any questions and help. The apartment has a fully equipped and quite big kitchen with a dishwasher and oven, and a wide master bed. The house is good access to Interlaken and the surroundings, and also nice hiking trails around with variable difficulty. There's also a great playground close to the house.

Nothing really — just know it’s a short trek from Interlaken and the buses only come once every hour.

The location was so gorgeous, just a 20 minute bus ride from Interlaken but felt so close to nature. The apartment was simple but had everything we needed, and the view was breathtaking. The best part by far though was the host, Sandra, who really went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and to help us get the most out of our trip. We ended up extending our stay by one day because we enjoyed it so much.

The hosts are extremely friendly people who give good tips. The property was spotless, probably the first time we didn’t feel the urge to clean ourselves. The view from the property is unprecedented. The location is great - a very quiet, which is 2 mins away to the bus that takes you to Interlaken in around 20 mins (the road is scenic itself).
