Location was perfect

There is a problem with the toilet in our bathroom that makes sounds all night . The lockers are really small for a carry-on

Perfect location, its right in the centre so easy to get around. Even to the train station which is a 10 minutes walk (same on the tram). Comfy beds, especially the pillow, which was a surprise in a hostel. The beds had curtains as well which blocked light well. All facilities were very clean and the hostel was quiet.

Cleanliness

The person who welcomed us was all over the place. She put a girl who had booked the 8 bed dorm in our room so we ended up having to use the pull out bed in a very small room. Then the front desk lady left at 7:00pm while other people were trying to check in. Every room was over booked and people were sleeping in the communal spots which is fine, but we had about 4 people come into our room from 2-4 pm trying to see if they could sleep in our room with us. The front desk person never returned and wrote their number on the door to contact them. She never answered so it was just a lot of upset people with no bed to sleep in. We also never got an extra pillow for the pull out bed that we had to use. The front desk lady also told everyone in the room our code to get into our locker which had all of our work computers in it. None of the doors had locks and the front door to the building stayed open the whole night. I know it’s a safe city but visitors aren’t always good people. It was surprising how bad the service was for how expensive it was per bed. Very disappointed in our stay.

The bed and the pillow are comfy.

Stairs! So many and steep, had to go up 2 flights just to use shower and 4 flights for kitchen, no space to sit so another flight of stairs to roof terrace to eat. Can’t arrive when you want, no luggage storage area. Staff email was quite rude, and not the friendliest in person as the hostel name suggests

Reasonable price especially when compared with regular hotels in Zurich. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities.

Curtains around the bed should go all of the way around the bed like the others in the dorm room. I would like to have known that both men and women had beds in the same dorm - not a problem but I thought I was in the wrong room at first entry.

Such a relaxed and friendly hostel but with clear rules/expectations that ensured everyone staying there was comfortable and happy. Loved the colourful, cheerful decor, and the host was lovely. Good facilities and in a great central location. The bed was so comfy.

Nothing at all - couldnt have asked for more. I would certainly stay here again if I was visiting Zurich.

Every thing is excellent

I paid friendly hostel zurich two times for an over night stay by mistake of mine/booking.com .at first i transfered the amount 63.84 euro but booking was'nt done and second time i have to pay 74.48 euro for the same over night booking . I requested to the owner voucaly/byemail for return of my 63.84 euro's but he replied to contact Booking.com . I emailed/text severel times to booking.com's team but there is no reply till now So please deal the matter towards solution . Thank you

It was clean and write in the middle of a peaceful part of the city. Close to the water and walkable to everything.

The owner was pleasant. And the place was clean and well-kept. Good place.

I had to climb up to the next 2 floors for the bathroom. That was a bit inconvenient.

The check-in time (16.00!!) was super annoying! Wifi was not working properly!
