At booking it was written that the room would have a view to the lake. We definitely didn't have this.

The distance from the train station is perfect. Also reception 24/7 was nice. The room was clean.

Overall, the hotel is not bad. Good location. The view from the window and balcony is also beautiful, very nice. But the only thing I didn’t like was the smell of cigarettes in the hallway.

The coffee in the breakfast room didn't taste good. Perhaps the coffee machine needs cleaning.

A great location - a short walk to the lake and downtown, right across from the train station. Many restaurants in a short walking distance. The room had a very comfortable bed, a balcony, a fridge and air conditioning. The staff was friendly and helpful. The patio in the breakfast room was nice.

The balcony was not cleaned thoroughly and had many spiders. The air conditioner was weird, it would start to work at random times, even though we turned it off so many times during the night.

The location and the view from the balcony were great. The staff was nice. The room was very big and clean. Bathroom amenities were great.

The bed was a little low and didn’t feel very comfortable.

Great location, right opposite the train station. The balcony was cute and the view is just amazing! There was some noise, but it didn’t bother me that much when we had the balcony door closed. The price is really good for Swiss standard. I would stay here again if I go to Locarno next time.

There was an pervasive smell of stale cigarette smoke in the whole hotel even if guests don’t smoke in the room the fact that there are ashtrays on the little balcony means if people smoke the smell will go right in the room

Being right in the centre of everything meant that there was considerable road noise even when the (new) double glazed widows were closed.

The location is excellent for getting around the area being right beside the train station / bus stops. Nice views of the lake from the bedroom (4th floor)... probably even better from the 5th or 6th. The hotel was renovated two years ago so everything is new and clean. Bathrooms are "compact" but well designed and fitted.

the lake view rooms with balcony sit directly above the noisy main street and train station. it was hard to sleep without closing the doors. rooms with a mountain view would be much quieter. the juice selections on breakfast buffet were extremely watered down.

directly across the street from the Locarno train station and bus circle. firm and comfortable beds with a nicely renovated bathroom. the view from the lake view room with balcony was great. good price for the location close to Locarno's lakeside promenade and the Piazza shopping area. perfect for people who have a lot of luggage or first time visitors to get to know the area.

The location of the hotel is perfect for traveling to different places around Locarno and beyond. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was perfect. We got the Tessino pass, which was very helpful to travel on buses and trains during our stay with no cost.

Aircon not working during first night. Had to sleep with open window and street was very noisy (traffic). But staff was great and moved us to another room and there was no noise when the window was closed.
