We could have stayed longer!

Here is a convenient, quite and comfortable place to stay near the northeastern shore of Lago Maggiore. A nicely restored stone building with a beautiful little garden for breakfast and a great view of the vineyards of Monti di Motti. We arrived on Sunday night and found a great Italian restaurant (Ristorante Rotonda👍👍) a few minutes walk from the lodging. The Host was cheerful and had a plentiful breakfast buffet prepared. The area is amazing and I'm sure we will return!

The room was comfortable on a cool spring day if you kept the window open. In summer it would get very stuffy.

Easy checkin (key waiting for me in an envelope when I arrived). Pleasant hosts serving a nice continental breakfast. (Note that they do not speak English. Your choice of German or Italian.) Easy walk from the Gordola train station. Local train and bus free with booking.

The location inside the village as the hotel is very close to the road. Dont be afraid of the noise if you open the window in the morning or late afternoon (no problem at night)

No air-conditioning, hot in summer. Not much in the vicinity, only a few restaurants and a grocery shop in walking distance. Weak WiFi (we were in a side-building), no fridge.

Clean, freshly renovated room, comfortable beds. Free parking. Very nice staff, breakfast included in price. Quiet neighborhood. Cheap for Switzerland. Perfect as a base for Ticino round-trips.

Wifi kept dropping in our room and was slow.

It’s the perfect base to explore Valle Verzasca, Locarno and Lugano especially with the Ticino ticket that is included. Accommodation is basic but comfortable.

3 floors up no lift and narrow staircases, ok but maybe not ideal for everybody. room under the roof has sloping ceilings and may not be to everyone taste.

location next to train station which was ideal for me. excellent cleanliness of the whole place. good self service breakfast. friendly inn-keeper who even prepared the coffee for me at breakfast.

The owner, Fernando, was most welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was perfect for us and it was nice to be served tea and juice on the small terrace looking out to the mountains. The location is quiet, especially at night, with a bus stop very close (less than 100m) and a train station only a five minute walk away, there are a couple of good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Staying at this Garni entitled us both to a Ticino tourist ticket that allows free travel on public transport during the whole stay which we made full use of, including a trip on the Centovalli Railway for which the Swiss section between Locarno and Camedo is totally free of charge. Great walks and swimming in the pools between various locations in the river are located around the Verzazca valley, only a 20 minute drive away.

Good location close to the train station. Very nice breakfast. The owner is very welcoming, providing information and the Ticino card for free traveling in the area. Great place to explore vally Verzasca from.

Everything! The room was comfortable. The bathroom was very good. Breakfast was excellent! The owner is proud of the hotel and it shows in his service.

The main issues we had was that there wasn’t really anything nearby, and it was a very hot time of year. There was no air conditioning nor was there even a fan in the room.

Room was fairly nice, bed was fairly comfortable.
