We had two nights here whilst touring on our motorbike and booked a bigger room with balcony. Staff were friendly and helpful, plenty of parking and a nice restaurant and bar area. Our room was fantastic! Very spacious with a big shower and a sofa area with the added bonus of a wrap around balcony. The food was very good offering traditional dishes along with a whole Thai menu was was delicious.

They really should list banana as one of the ingredients in their curry, especially as my wife is allergic to them and there were big chunks in it. Good job I tried it first :). The nearest store/main shop is a few miles down the road in the next town, but not a big problem really. The weather was very hot, and even with the windows open the room could have done with a fan or air conditioning. Not a massive choice for breakfast, and didn't find out we could have a latte instead of their regular coffee until the second day.

The view from our room was great, overlooking the rolling countryside and mountains. It is set in a lovely small picturesque town. There are some very lovey walks in the area, and it is only a short drive to Grimsel pass, as well as 2 other winding road passes. The beds were clean and comfortable, though 2 twins pushed together. The restaurant menu was very good. the room was spacious and clean. There was ample storage. English was spoken fairly well. The food and drink were fairly reasonably priced. They have a nice outside patio and garden for when the weather is nice, and a cosy lounge inside for when it isn't

The surrounding small town has no shops or restaurants.

Great location for motorcycles between the furka and Grimsel passes. Very motorcycle friendly. Friendly staff. Thai restaurant on site, other food available. Food excellent. Outstanding views of the mountains. Room good value for money (for Switzerland)

Excellent little hotel right on the cross-country ski tracks (Sonnenloipe). Perfect location for a week in Goms or just a couple of days. Friendlky staff and really excellent breakfast. Bar serves very nice beer and offers an interesting combination of Thai and Swiss dishes on the evening à la carte menu. One of my regular places to stay in Gommertal!
