Some maintenance would be nice, especially on the bathroom.

Very dated, old fashioned Swiss plugs, untended reception (not an issue when we stayed though - but could be in an emergency) - also they left our keys on the unattended reception without anyone there (no lockbox)

Closed restaurant. And NO staff in grounds!!

View is great, but the absence of stuff on arrival and the closed restaurant was not cool. I ended up having to have dinner at the rehabilitation center nearby because the other hotel-restaurant nearby was also closed and I didn’t want to have to drive 20 minutes for dinner. Apparently, when there are a few guests, they close the restaurant and leave the keys in an obscure location near the front desk.

Getting there without a car is tricky - there is a nice public bus up to 600m hill but it requires a 15 minute walk in the forest after (spooky at night). Food/breakfast options are not great in the hotel and since it’s isolated you need to get all the way down the hill to find something

The location and the view are amazing and unparalleled. We arrived very late and the reception was flexible about it. We went there on a biking trip and it was a perfect stop.

This property provides only the beds and towels for the bath. But basic facilities like hot water kettle or tea bags or mugs or glasses for drinking water. In addition, the bedding provided was very basic. The property was not getting cleaned every day. No availability of staff at the reception

It was ghostly ...nobody around to help you and when someone was there very unfriendly and unwelcoming. The room was looking like a student bedroom with strict minimum facilities , with no style and old looking . The bathroom was not clean (some used shampoo bottle left over in the bath / dirty bath mat). It was truly the worth hotel I have ever stayed in and it should not be allowed to be on a plateform like booking. com when it is so poor in every aspect of service that an hotel is supposed to deliver.

The view was the only thing in favor of this hotel.

No breakfast option available i think but that we knew in advance. Would have been nice to have fan in room and coffee kettle or something. Luckily we brought fan and kettle ourselves. For our stay on 10th August it was very hot weather 30c.

Room was great. Big room with balcony of an amazing lake thun view. As soon as we entered the room we were like WOW after seeing the view from our balcony. Room size was great and big. Comfortable bed and pillows and blanket. Bathroom was great too with warm and cold water both available with many towels and hair n shower gel. Really nothing to complaint about. I dont know why there are some bad reviews for this hotel. My experience was great and i will stay here again in future.

When I arrived, after 21:00 as agreed and approved through the Booking platform, no one was at the reception and no one answered my calls. They left a key, I took it, entered the room, and found a mess in the trash can and a messy bed. I have 2 pictures to prove everything I am saying. The house-keeping person was extremely rude, continuously yelling at me on my way out. I did not use the booked accommodation and was both very disappointed and humiliated.

There were NO staff on site at all. There was 1 tiny bottle of body wash for each person that was supposed to last for two days. The rooms were not refreshed and the towels were the worst towels I have ever encountered while traveling. No air conditioning so we left the window open and in the morning there was a black cat in our room!!! The "hotel" is in the middle of nowhere so if you need something you have to drive down the mountain into town to find something since there is literally nothing available at the "hotel".

There was no breakfast. There was nothing available to eat or drink. The only positive thing was the view.

We went to bed around 10:30 pm and found a huge wet spot at the end of our bed! There was no one at the front desk. We informed them by email that a comfortable bed is a basic that we pay for. The front staff promised they would pass on the issue. We never heard back after 2 weeks . Shows they don’t care.

The view was magnificent and the front staff were helpful.

The hotel is very dated. There is no AC in the rooms and the room furniture and mattresses could have been more comfortable and need replacing. We stayed only as a 1 night stop-over whilst travelling however we saw no staff. There was no one in reception when we collected our room key, nor anyone when we checked-out and left the next morning even though we were well within working hours (arrived 4pm and left at 9am). We did not use the restaurant. Despite signs on the drive in and opening hours online saying it was open, it wasn't when we went downstairs so we drove down to Thun for dinner. If you do not have access to a car this would be an extremely difficult hotel to stay in. We chose not have breakfast included however a fellow guest did not speak favourably of the breakfast offer in the morning and was leaving to find breakfast down by the lakeside instead.

This place had amazing views across the lakes and mountains and was extremely peaceful. The room was clean although the decor was very dated.

It looked like it was last renovated when my late grandma bought her last house. Toilet seat disintegrated when I lifted it for the first time. The staff other than cleaning staff was missing in action.

A million dollar view of the Lake Thin and mountains around with freshly green sloping slopes typically Switzerland style. Easy 5-7 minute walk to the bus stop and easy to get to Thun to move on anywhere by trains. Overall wonderful
