Reviews of Zermatt Youth Hostel

Since we arrived before check-in time, we had the option to leave our luggage in lockers. Dinner was offered at a reasonable price compared to the rest of the city. Breakfast was very good.

the staff was helpful.

the location is at the incline difficult to reach via stairs if you have luggage. and if you are unlucky like me, to get the room on the fourth floor it makes it impossible to goto room with luggage. paid extra to book room in the lower floor

They put on site one building and I got room in another building

Breakfast was great, staff was friendly, common areas, view.

It's far from the train station and needs to hike up. Room was at the highest floor and no elevator. But the most frustrating thing was low ceiling in the room making me hit it with my head all the time. But this applies I guess only to rooms at the last floor.

room a little small for 4 people

Good value, nice people, simply but nice double room. Very comfortable mattress and bedding. We could even see the matterhorn from the window of our room and the breakfast was quite good, they even had a coffee machine, fruit juice and homemade hummus. Very central location and friendly staff. Fridge and one microwave for everyone available.

No roles (Brötchen) at the breakfast maybe not that common in Switzerland like in Germany. The room was missing a bit of cosyness. The way uphill to get there was a bit exausting but doable.

Extremely clean and great breakfast and dinners. Laundry facilities were a bonus.

The view was spectacular of the Matterhorn and the included breakfast was a nice touch.

The room was quite small and modest for the price, but that's to be expected in Switzerland.
