I love a little place that over delivers. Lovely little chalet style room and in our opinion, much better than the actual lodge, as it sits on the valley side, so there is no road and traffic spoiling your incredible view. The inexpensive cocktails came with nuts and the continental breakfast was generous with all kinds of options. They also have a ‘kettle and mug’ station in the communal reception in the annex. Well done!

The staff could be a little more friendly. Also please be mindful that if you are visiting in the summer, there is no AC. You can ask for a fan from the front desk, though.

We felt like we were in a fairy tale seeing the view of the Grindelwald alps from the balcony of our room. The room itself had the essentials and the bed was comfortable enough. Because it is an annex, the breakfast and restaurant, as well as checking in/out are still at the main building, which is just across the street. Walking distance to the train station.

Check in lobby and the actual lodge is in different buildings, though just across from the street; not enough charging sockets in the room; breakfast options were limited but alright.

It would nice if we can have the kettle in the room so we don’t have to go up and down to get hot water.

The room was clean and spacious. The view from the room was very nice! The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful - explained to me about the mountain passes and told me that I could purchase the passes from the hotel which were much cheaper than those online.

It’s not that I didn’t like it — I actually appreciated the kettle in the lobby! Just a small suggestion: adding some tea bags or coffee sachets would be a great touch and make it even more welcoming.

Having to go downstairs for hot water due to no facilities in the room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem. I found the breakfast limited and basic, even for a continental breakfast. The first night we struggled with breathing in the room due to the dry environment and weird stuffy feel in the room. We kept the windows open during the night which helped. Very flat pillow and only one pillow.

Location was great. Very close to the bus stop and train station. The views from the balcony were amazing. The young gentleman staffing the reception in the afternoons and evenings was very helpful and friendly. Staff are great. Thank you and would happily stay again.
