Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThere was no air conditioning in the rooms, so it got quite hot, and the fan, which was provided, didn’t give much relief.”
The staff were amazingly friendly and attentive, the location was excellent—close to the train stop and a beautiful forest—and the rooms featured quirky, fun decorations. Breakfast was simply splendid, with many non-dairy options, about seven different kinds of bread, an impressive cheese plate with premium cheeses, a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, and plenty of cereals to choose from.

Hungaryno air condition in the room, which made the stay In the middle of a very hot August somewhat inconvenient. It is probably not a real problem in any other time of the year. There is a fan in the room with which you can play a little in the night, but it does not really substitute the air condition.
Nothing fancy but essentially everything worked in the room. Breakfast was acceptable (depending on your expectations of a western-style breakfast buffet), there is a little of every type of breakfast food (, we did not really miss anything. As practically everywhere around Zürich, public transport to city (and everywhere else) is excellent. Very convenient and not expensive parking in underground garage practically under the hotel. Staff kind and helpful.

NetherlandsThe room was a bit too warm when we arrived but we were given a fan to cool it down. Eventually, we had no problems sleeping or feeling too warm.
The staff was very friendly, both evening and morning shift! They were helpful, attentive and gave us good suggestions to what we needed. There is a great pizza place in front of the hotel where the food quality is good and the staff is also very friendly.

LatviaBathroom did not have an electrical outlet and there wasn’t one also near the mirror, so drying hair was not so convenient, as only outlet was by the bed.
Convenient location, relatively clean room with unique design. Room had a fan available if it was hot (but not the case while I stayed). Comfortable bed and acceptably quiet surroundings.

AustraliaHotel room was very cool, decorated with music instruments and memorabilia and photo frames. The bed was comfy, the shower was very good, the owner / manager was very friendly. The hotel was very close to a train station with a tram right outside the front of it. Easy to get around.

United KingdomThe weather was very hot, and there was no aircon. However, a fan was provided in the room and this made it a bit better. The climate is getting hotter, and they might need to invest in some aircon soon. So I did not give the best result for facilities and comfort.
The bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is located near ETH University were I was working.

Slovakia- A mini fridge would be nice, especially in the summer - A kettle would be nice - The free crib was broken and quite worn - The safe was not working - The bathroom could use at least some partial renovations and small fixes but it was kept clean
- Big comfy bed. It was easily enough for a family of 3 with a 3-year-old - Nice and soft towels - Very clean - Good value for money - The city center is easily reachable by public transport in 20 minutes - We loved the themed room - Minimalistic with no distractions. We were sleeping a lot - Multiple supermarkets in the area

United StatesThe property was great with a grocery store next door and a couple of restaurants nearby. Although it was a bit out of the way from Zurich itself, there was public transportation right across to street to anywhere in town.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable for two rooms for our family.

TurkeyThe room was not hot enough by the central heating. this is understandable to a degree as some people like it cool. There was an electric space heater, however the space heater was very loud while running and when turned off the room immediately cools, my wife got cold during our trip, i blame this situation partly on this solution.
The train is close, takes 5 mins to the station. breakfast is mostly good, except there is a single egg cooker, you have wait turns if crowded. and its a house appliance takes forever to cook the eggs. the rooms have different themes, we had rockstar room, friends had the William tell room, its a fun twist.

UkraineSpecific electric sockets for local plugs. We had to push really hard to plug in laptop charger and phone chargers - was close to break it. Please provide a kind of adapters or something.
Nice underground parking. Interesting concept of the rooms(may be just a lack of money) as we felt like we got back in 80-90th, though rather cosy. Drinking water right from the tap is something special for us as we lost that habit long ago at our place.

GermanyThere was no hair dryer or fridge, but it wasn't a big deal.
First and foremost, the staff and manager of this hotel are fantastic. They are always friendly, welcoming, and eager to assist you. For instance, we arrived in the morning even though our check-in time was 2 PM, but they kindly allowed us to access our room and store our belongings. On our last day, they also held our luggage so we could spend more time exploring the city. Overall, this place offers excellent value for the price, and you won't encounter any issues or troubles with them—they are truly wonderful people.
