Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyArriving at a hotel under renovation without being previously made aware before booking. This is a cheap shot. We were awaken by construction noise at 6am. It's the type of thing that breaks the confidence.
The hotel is going through a renovation and all the new areas/facilities are nice. Restaurants and bars included.

Superb hotel. Helpful staff, great room. The hotel was still under some renovation but we were very kindly informed about that beforehand. The shuttle bus from and to the station is a great amenity. A public bus stop is also close by. This part of town is quite distant from the centre but the bus makes it quite easy to get there. There was a good selection of food for breakfast. The Italian restaurant Caruso offers top notch food and even better service.

United StatesThe spa was still under construction, so was the outside of the hotel. Construction started at 8am. It was hard to find the entrance and parking was not that intuitive. I do understand tho that in order to be nicer, remodel is necessary.
It is very modern and it looks like it was recently remodeled inside. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding.

United KingdomThere were some ongoing works which could not be helped. This was situational and temporary. So not really a fault. We were warned in advance.
It was clean and fresh, and the staff were lovely and helpful. A great alp feel to the lobby and bar area.

FranceIf you're visiting in July 2025 (when we did), the hotel is essentially a construction site with lots of noise, which makes for a not-so-pleasant experience when you're trying to enjoy peace and quiet. We were trying to experience Swiss mountain tranquility, not literally live on a construction site. Of course, we have nothing against hardworking people going about their business with drills and hammers, but it does kill the holiday mood somewhat. Some of the younger front-of-house staff also need to be better-trained at dealing with guests. For example, the website says that local transport is included for free when you book a stay of at least two nights (this is also noted on the key card holder), but the reception staff seem unaware of this and thought that we needed to buy a ticket on board the local bus? It should be policy to tell all guests what is and isn't included in their booking, especially when they ask a pointed question.
The location, away from the main town centre, but still within easy access of the lake and the various mountain railways, is ideal for people who don't like crowds. The rooms have mountain and lake views, and the facilities (the ones they've finished constructing) are top-notch! I would recommend their Asian restaurant as well. There's a variety of food options available on site. There's a shuttle available to the main train station.

AustraliaThere are renovations still underway. Work starts at about 8 am. It will be amazing when it is done but the site is still a construction zone.
The newly renovated parts of the hotel are wonderful. There were 3 good restaurants for us to choose from. The staff were great. Breakfast was amazing. There was a fridge and a Safe in the rooms The courtesy bus to the train station is fantastic. We were picked up and dropped off which was very helpful after a long day of travel.

United KingdomBuilding work meant thst stairs down from level 3 not very accessible (in case of fire) and we had to ask where they were. Also, we advised that between our room and the lift, the flight of stairs wasn't very well lit. The light was sensored but didn't trigger quick enough so you went down some steps in ghe dark. We alerted staff but nothing done to amend.
Room was comfortable with adequate facilities and spotlessly clean. Lovely bar lounge with real fire. Food for breakfast very good. Staff very friendly and tried to be helpful but didn't always know the answers or advise well enough. Very responsive to questions before the trip - excellent.

United KingdomWe were told our room was not near the building works and the outside scaffold which was right outside our room but no work was being done however 8 o’clock on a Saturday morning we were woken up by drilling - not very close by but as we sleep with the window open, it woke us up. Also, we were given a single room when we asked for a double and the night Porter couldn’t change it
Lovely open areas. Very clean and refurb room

United KingdomConstruction work making entry and exit of the building a very hazardous experience - seriously dangerous. The cost of restaurant St Moritz food is extortionate, the Caruso restaurant follows that model.
Large, comfortable room, well equipped. Outstanding customer service, especially Yosef Kamal, the cocktail wizard, who could not have been more friendly, efficient and totally professional. Shuttle service to rail station was a great help.

SwitzerlandAlthough the room was excellent (I’ve received an upgrade) and the view was nice, there were various objects stored on the ground, in the backyard (mostly sure related to some current renovation project)
Excellent services provided by the hotel staff, shuttle van from/to the railway station, punctuality, cleanliness. I had a good sleep in a comfortable bed and I enjoyed breakfast.

United StatesThere was quite a bit of construction during our stay, which made navigating the building somewhat confusing. The complimentary shuttle to the train station only ran once an hour starting at 7:55 AM, which didn’t align well with trains to Tirano that departed at :48 past the hour. Because of the inconvenient shuttle schedule, we had to take a taxi to the train station—which cost 30 Swiss francs for a five-minute ride. Housekeeping took our large towels on the first day but didn’t replace them or refill the nearly empty shower soap. Additionally, although the hotel had promoted two dining options—highlighting an Asian restaurant in a pre-arrival email as a silver lining to the ongoing construction—only the Italian restaurant was open. The restaurant also lacked a clear host station, which led to an awkward wait before anyone acknowledged us.
Room was very big with a good view. Breakfast was exceptional.
