Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandThe castle is big. Which means some part of the buildings are for lodging, but other parts are rented out for external events or wedding etc. One of the nights during our stay, they had an corporate event with live music until midnight. Our hostess gave us heads-up at the check-in so we were aware of it, but If you are a light sleeper or traveling with kids that go to bed early, it might be something to consider. Also there's no check in counter per-se, as it is a castle. Talk with the host in advance to inform your eta & have her phone number handy when you arrive. We didn't know and it took awhile to figure out how to enter. But She's very responsive and will come down to open the door immediately for ya.
What a dreamy weekend it was! We stayed here 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and we couldn't have wished for a better place for such an occasion. Amazing location - 5 min easy walk to the Vevey station that connects you everywhere in the Montreux Riviera region, belle epoque ferry stop at the door front, many cute restaurants in a walking distance nearby, and the view from your balcony.. it makes you instantly fall in love with the region. The room is beautiful, retaining all the charms from the original castle, while clean and renovated for the guests' convenience. I absolutely loved the Breakfast which they brought to the room each morning, including breads, cold cuts, fresh seasonal fruits & yogurt. Not only was the food itself delicious, the experience of having a breakfast with the view of lake Leman on your private balcony was exceptional. So many friends asked us about the hotel after our stay and we strongly recommended it to them! We promised to ourselves to return every year for our anniversary ❤️ thanks for the amazing stay.

United KingdomTwo very small things that could be improved. My room had a dining room area but no plates. When returning at night the front door was in darkness, Vevey is very safe but lighting would be a good addition.
Lovely owner, great communication and welcome. Room was bright and modern, retaining lovely original features. Property was clean and very quiet. Continental breakfast was very good, separate dining area really handy and great as an office if working.
